Kidney Transplant and TRT

I had a kidney transplant five years ago. So I'm living on one transplanted kidney.

I'm super healthy. Work out every day. Eat very clean.

My testosterone level is in the 100's. Very low.

So the question is, will TRT harm my remaining transplanted kidney in any way?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but most doctors are so guarded that their standard response to anything "outside the box" is "no."

Protein shakes -> no
Preworkout drink -> no
Male vitamins -> no

Everything is a "no."

I understand that some of the "no's" are valid, but some aren't.

So I came here to see if anyone else might be in my same or similar situation or might know more than I might know about doing TRT as a kidney transplant patient.

You definitely need to look into finding a qualified doctor as Vince stated.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
