Hi all,

Found this site and found very interesting and informative comms.

My D.O. prescribed 50mg compounded test cream. I am 1 month into it.

I am an executive in a larger Tech company and travel extensively nationally and internationally. Diet could be better but not a big sugar or carb guy. Light/Moderate drinker. Non smoker.
Small doses of Medical marijuana edibles at night for sleep.

I was originally prescribed androgel but insurance of course wouldn’t cover it. $600 a month. Ended up with compounded test cream @ $50 a month.

Pre RX Symptoms:
Fatigue
Loss of motivation and energy
Body aches and joint pain
Erosion of libido due to lack of energy although no ED issues
Terrible sleep. 4 hours a night. Some generalized Anxiety.

The basics:
Age 51
6’2
225 pounds
Athletic but healthiest weight is <205

Pre TRT Bloodwork:
Total testosterone: 302
Free testosterone 60.2
Estradiol: 20
SHGB 34.6
DHEA-S: 124
PSA 0.6
Blood work ordered for 90 days from start or TRT

Hyperfamilia Cholesterol managed by high doses of Statins. Induced myopothy gene. Translation, statins don’t cause pain or side effects for me.

Results and notes so far after 1 month:
Typical application under arms and pits
Higher energy and motivation
Very notable rush in the first hour after applying cream in the morning
Huge reduction in body and join pain immediately after starting Rx.
High sensitivity to caffeine
Positive attitude and generally happier
Definitely a little more aggressive during conflict

Looking forward to seeing labs in the next 60 days...

Comments appreciated!

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
