Injection Site Issue/Question

Hey Guys! Something happened to me today that has never happened before , and I like to get some advice/theory on what I did wrong.

I inject 50 mg of Test Cyp every 3 days. I use an insulin syringe and usually inject into left shoulder because I’m right handed(have done my right shoulder a few times as well).

Today I decided to switch it up and inject into my right shoulder since I’m always poking my left shoulder.

After injection, I noticed more blood came out if the injection site than usual. Also there was a noticeable lump where I injected. It kinda freaked me out and I’ve been massaging it . I injected about 25 minutes ago. These are my theories on why this happened and I’d like to hear some of yours :

1.) I’m not used to injecting with my left hand , and I may have had too much movement of the needle when it was in my muscle ?

2.) Mayb I hit some capillaries or blood vessel(which scares me because there is always a bubble at the end of my syringe) I’m assuming if my heart was gonna stop it would have happened by now ?

3.) Some of the oil did not go in the muscle and it went sub q?

4.) I’m at the end of my bottle and the sterility of the oil has gotten worse , or mayb since the bottle was in my car the oil was colder than usual ?

Like I said I am just guessing and any input would be much appreciated . Thanks !

I agree with Vince, some occasional post site reaction is entirely normal. The only thing you need to watch for is infection which wouldn't be 25 minutes later, and even then the chances of that are pretty slim unless you drag your supplies through a dirty toilet.

Ok great thanks VC! Yeah I wipe the injection spot with alcohol swab and then use a separate swab on top of the vial. Always a fresh needle as well.

Once when I was injecting, blood sprayed on the bathroom mirror. I really hit it good, I just wiped up the blood and went on my way. I never had any issues from it.

Sounds like you just nicked a blood vessel as it can happen!

There is a way to draw without getting air bubbles and if anything the tiny one you may get at the end of the barrel should be pushed out back into the vial before you pull the needle out of the neoprene rubber stopper.

Thanks for the advice brother ! I will try that next injection.

imo the blood is no big deal , but the lump is the oil not getting deep enough, likely not in the muscle at all. The issue likely is the insulin needle, it is too short and not designed for im. Not to mention insulin needles are designed for water based solubles not oils. I occasionally had lumps with a 5/8 needle and now I use 1 inch needles.

Hey brother I appreciate the input. Definitely something to think about . I haven’t had any issues as of yet injecting in delt with insulin syringe and I know people like Nelson and a lot of others advocate it and have success .

A little update: The lump has subsided and there is still a red circle (I’m assuming from the blood vessel that was nicked) but I’m expecting that to go away with time. It’s only been a day

cool, good luck, I thought Nelson did delt pins with a luer lock and a 5/8 25 gauge needle. I know the insulin needles are usually 1/2 and from 27 to 31 gauge, it just takes too long to draw thick oil through such a thin membrane and same goes for the pin. For delts 5/8 seems right, for glutes or thighs or Ventrogluteal I think at least a 3/4 to an inch is ideal for me

Thanks! Your probably right man , I could of sworn on his video where he injects HCG and Test together in the same syringe, he uses an insulin syringe but I may be mistaken. If I keep having issues I may have to switch over 5/8

That tiny little bubble of air has absolutely nothing to do with anything at all...it's completely a nonissue to this injection.

Of course it makes no difference whether one injects a tiny air bubble.

Did I state that it caused an issue?

I am telling him there is away to avoid it if he feels it is a big deal!

talk about making things a big deal...time for an Estrogen test, eh?

He stated:

- read into it before babbling

- think deeply before calling one out

- this line is getting old, childish if anything.....talk about making things a big deal...time for an Estrogen test, eh?
