Hi. I have ingrown toenail and nasal congestion and my estrogen is high(not too high). i just learned pregnant woman can have this issues.

and I'm emotional. I don't think this issues are caused by estrogen only.

which hormones can cause this problems? progesterone? why pregnant women and I have this issues?

I spend 15 minutes looking for hormone-related references for ingrown toe nails but found none. Several did mention that pregnant women and adolescents have a higher incidence.

These are the hormone changes through pregnancy:

[h=3]Estrogen and Progesterone ChangesEstrogen and progesterone are the chief pregnancy hormones. A woman will produce more estrogen during one pregnancy than throughout her entire life when not pregnant. The increase in estrogen during pregnancy enables the uterus and placenta to improve vascularization, transfer nutrients, and support the developing baby. In addition, estrogen is thought to play an important role in helping the fetus develop and mature. Estrogen levels increase steadily during pregnancy and reach their peak in the third trimester. The rapid increase in estrogen levels during the first trimester may cause some of the nausea associated with pregnancy and, during the second trimester, plays a major role in the milk duct development that enlarges the breasts.
Progesterone levels also are extraordinarily high during pregnancy. The changes in progesterone cause a laxity or loosening of ligaments and joints throughout the body. In addition, high levels of progesterone cause internal structures to increase in size, such as the ureters (which connect the kidneys with the maternal bladder). Progesterone also is important for transforming the uterus from the size of a small pear in its non-pregnant state to a uterus that can accommodate a full-term baby.

Is it high estradiol and/or progesterone?

Get your testosterone, estradiol and progesterone tested. It would be interesting to see what they are.

Each of the issues you raise, an ingrown toenail, nasal congestion, and high estrogen (I presume you had your estradiol tested with the sensitive methodology) are far more likely to be utterly independent of one another. I am not dismissing your question, or the premise that underlies it, just urging a bit of caution before you conclude these are conjoined occurrences.

if i was right, i have high estrogen since i was born. i know it because i know how i feel when i have high estrogen.

i was emotional since i was born. but when i was 18, something happened. i was more emotional and my libido started to drop. when this happened, i had ingrown toenail and nasal congestion.

so i know this issues caused by hormones. when my hormones change, this issues get worse. for example, my nails grow faster etc.

Have you had your testosterone and estradiol tested?

I doubt it, occam's razor and all.

It's possible the E2 causes bloating and water retention, leading to your skin swelling and the toe nail growing wrong, but ingrown toe nails also happen randomly and because people don't cut their nails right. I may be entirely off base with that concocted theory of mine.

You may be overthinking a bit.

right, but i dont have this issues all time. i have this issues when I'm emotional.

i took pregnenolone and it made me emotional and nasal congestion get worse.

i'm 100% sure this issues caused by hormones.

Have you gotten blood tests to prove that it is? That'd be the best way.

Define "emotional" for you.
