Improved transurethral medication for ED.

Recently I stumbled onto a very potent type of Tri Mix gel being sold by Akina pharmacy (with your doctors RX). The gel is similar to Tri Mix in that, it is the same three typical ingredients (E1, papervine, and phentolamine in a very concentrated state. The gel is pre loaded into a blunt tipped syringe.

I had previously been injecting Tri mix, which can work quite well. However, injection technique while very simple in theory can be at times challenging, and yield less than desired results. Intrurethral blunt tipped syringe deposition is easier, quicker, less expensive, and is slightly more stabile to heat and light, making travel with it much easier.

The gel is sold in two strengths. Ask your physician to choose the dose, which will be based on severity of ED. However, I have very significant ED, and with the higher strength dose I only need about 8-9 units at most to be very effective. Easy to give massaged into the urethra absorption begins within a few minutes and takes about 5-15 minutes to be effective.

What I find particularly appealing, if you are not having the best day, it is very simple to give yourself a little more after 5-10 minutes to improve results.

This is not Muse. The gel works much more consistently, and there is no dependence on injection technique. As with Muse, some may experience burning or aching more than with injections. For me that has not been a problem with proper dosing. I have also found that you can divide the total dose and give yourself two or three doses instead of all at once, spreading the time between doses out over 5 minute intervals. This also seems to work quite well.

I have found Akina pharmacy to be very easy to work with. They have good customer service, and their prices are more competitive than many pharmacies. Akina’s super Trimix is lower prices than others at $184 for 10 mg. Four syringes of 1 ml of the higher Tri mix gel cost $135. The gel is sold concentrated, for me it yields about 20% more doses for about $50 less! The good results, the ease of use and relative cost advantage, with good side effect profile makes this an appealing option for men with significant ED.

So what does that work out to for cost per use? I experimented with something similar from a different pharmacy just to have as fallback plan, but the price worked out to about $35 per use which is way more expensive than bimix per dose (which I don't use, but which would be the alternative for me.) I actually prefer that is a bit less potent than the injections for safety reasons, but the price seemed crazy high.

My apologies for taking so long to reply. The cost per dose for me is pretty inexpensive as Trimix goes. Each syringe of 1 ml, or 100 units costs about $33.75. I use about 5 units per sex event, so the cost per event is about $1.69. ($33.75 divided by 100 units is $.3375 per unit. Using 5 units equals $1.69 per sex event. But remember, everyone's need as to how much they use is different. Some may need more, but since my Ed is pretty bad, many may need less. Many may find the lower strength gel is better for them. I don't know the cost of the lower strength but can't imagine it would be more, probably less. I like the convenience of this method too. I can take 3 units, and then add 2 more. If it's a particularly difficult night, I can add a little more as well. On the other hand, if it's a good night, I can use 3 and might not need more. it gives great flexibility without having to inject too much, or more than once (which they tell you not to do anyway). Injections are not hard, (pun intended) but it's easy to get them not quite right, and sometimes when the injection doesn't work, poor technique is probably why. That doesn't happen with the gel. it's extremely consistent. The ONLY side effect issue I have had, is a little bit of aching when first given due to the E1 prostaglandin. I find if I give it as 2-3 units and then 2-3 more I don't get that effect. TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THIS BEFORE YOU USE IT. IT IS VERY POWERFUL AND COULD EASILY GIVE A PRIAPISM IF ABUSED.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
