thanks ill look him up...... uh and im still waiting for my blood results the dr. i see has the WORST office manager an she doesn't do her job.I litterly have to check on all PRIOR AUTHS. if refills were sent or not b4 leaving office... print out info so the dr. can educate himself.......deal with my insurance company for the damn office manager cuz shes to slow , and even this past weeks getting my labs sent over from labcorp over 2 1/2 weeks...so the office mang. says oh we never got them. so i litterly was on the phone as the labcorp ppl were faxing it and said ok done call ur dr. in 5 min..... they tell me they never got anything.... i had to get them released to me pick them up and drop them off myself!!!!!!!!!!! i shud be getting paid for this, i just wana be better like wow...i just had to vent that

Labcorp has a website where they post your results a day or so after your doctor should get them. Sign up. It's easy and you can avoid your doctor's incompetent office manager.

I wouldn't go in with the idea of a fight in mind. Sign up on labcorps website. Get the labs and post them.

So, again I am not totally on point with all the abreveations i know my free t and t levels and stuff but i want to know from anyone who understands this to help me by kinda making it into lamens terms...

i know my esdridol is high.... how do i fix the shit thats off balance basicly, what meds do i need ect...

its my third month "cycle" so 1200mgs ive injected so far in 12 weeks ... i see my prolactin is high....probly from the SSRI paxil (which im weening off of ) and also off the pravastatin and tricore ...but i drink 80mgs of methadone daily for a while now, i had a terrible dope habbit, thats been under control since 2010.... sober life no alcohol . but i do smoke pot for nausea . but nothing other then what I am prescibed. weening off the methadone is harder than most think. I am in the process , its just a slow process my body has had it running threw it self for 6 years...so i have progressed from 120mg to now 80mg which is a big deal , most ppl cant do it. the deal is and its for our own good and saftey;is to taper very slow. Almost undecetable 1mg every 2 weeks....spaced out over months....when you get low enough , they offer a "Blind" where they stop printing ur MG on the bottle so u dont obsess over small changes. im still to high up to go blind im not ready ....and ill be honest theres some nervousness behind it. that withdrawl is unforgetable and and unforgiving. so thats a whole different chapter... but i figured id share im sure its effecting prolactin also.....

I suggest you test just prior to your next injection. You want to capture a true trough value, not a value at the midpoint of your weekly protocol. Why do you want to lower your estradiol? It isn't high, though you may have been tested with the wrong estradiol assay. Men want the sensitive, LC,MS,MS test. Are you referring to the elevated total estrogens result? It's of no value to you. I can't imagine why it was ordered; pay it no mind. It has no significance and gives no information that a man and his doctor need. To repeat, be sure you run the sensitive estradiol test in the future, but at the moment you are more than likely sitting reasonable level.

Prolactin in can be lowered, carefully, with Cabergoline. Did your doctor discuss that with you?

No he didnt go over any meds to help anything on the side. And yes, i was refering to my total estrogens result. so its normal, thats good. I know the prolactin is high and he did not go over that with me . never mentioned it, but I just dont think he knows. He said he would refer me to a specialist after this blood work came back if i wanted. but if everything seems ok and I just need that drug , he will give it to me no problem. I just have to research the correct and safe dosage so he doesnt kill me.
Well sorry to be so uneducated in this but im trying my best to learn from what i see. its just new to me. with that said , ill go research the drug and what mg i should be on and all that and present it to him when I see him Thursday. Also I had to learn what a trough day even was from here. The doctor mentioned nothing about any of that ...basicly hes just the prescription source. im thankful for this website group or i would be very lost. well thanks for the information about the cabergoline i will look it up.

Your high prolactin level could well be suppressing your libido. Cabergoline can lower it; you should be able to find material here on the Forum that discusses it. I hope your doctor doesn't have to be taught how it can help you.

I researched the drug all night last night. I understand what it is, and how it works. BUT sadly this Dr. will most likely just have his Nurse look up all the stuff I basicly just spent 5 hours doing. So yea , I will probly have to tell him the dose i need and how to write it. thats why I may just take the referral and go to a specialist and take a gamble it has to be better then this.... Thankfully, through my years I have gotten very much into medicine so I am aware of interactions ect.. so Im just going to get the correct dosing instructions after another blood test to check those glads in my brain to make sure its not one of those benign tumors. im assuming its from my PAXIL. I said it in another post but im TAPERING off it now...but 15 years on an SSRI def did its tole. so maybe i will only need it for short term once all the paxil is out of me, which could take months... its just everyday something else to jump over to get my health in order.

doctor wants me to get an MRI this week. to rule out swelling and that benign tumor that could be pushing on my pituitary gland.. or it could just all be from the PAXIL ......im now on 20mgs still once a day but i take it like 6am so its not so strong by the evening ....i know that probly dosnt matter since its been running threw my blood for 15 years....but in 2 months ill be at 10mgs..........its hard as FUKC. but ill do it!.

am only sharing my experience and we are all different etc... Maybe you can talk
to your doc about what he thinks of adding Wellbutrin. At least it helped me with some side effects of SSRI including libido.
Now I am on very low dose of SSRI 0,5mg of Lexapro which is really a small dose but it still manages to take the tops off my anxiety.
Also taking 150mg bupropion (Wellbutrin) for me it is a nice combo. Makes you a bit speedy in the begining but SSRI makes you a bit of zombie.

yea ... i tired that and wellbutrin gave me thoughts of killing myself and i tried and overdosed and almost didnt make it. so noooooo welllbutrin for me....... im tryin to get off ALL SSRIS AND ANTIDEPRESSANTS i take Klonopin for panic and anxiety and clondine for HBP with those , and now my hormores are leveling out I dont think my body wants the Antidepressant anymore 15 years of slavery to paxil is enough..... they put me on seriquil, buspar, paxil, trazidone,abilify(also gave me suicidal thoughts) ...im done i came a long way ..... so im going to try just thearpy and the PRN anxiety drugs with out an antidepressant .....if it fails, ill do a low dose of effexor ER.....lowest dose.....

but im glad that works for you.... i just have been on meds for so long im trying to down grade.....but thanx for the advise anyway bud.

I realize this thread is older but after reading your vast array of medications for "treatments", I felt shudders down my spine. Was in the same boat you are but I abandoned ship and fast. Methadone destroyed me. Can you give suboxone a shot? Was a game changer for me and the only way I was able to completely stop everything will minimal sickness.
