Been on TRT for three years. 100mg a week, Test Cyp. I self inject. NOTHING is working as it should from muscle mass to ED...IM 35 getting married in 10 months and if I don't figure this shit out I am not getting married.

Im in the Saint Louis area. I use a GP for my TRT and he is awesome, but I am not sure he is 100 on TRT just based off the lack of testing we have done. He tests total test but not anything else really.

I need some help gentlemen so my 6 year relationship and engagement don't go down the toilet.

Thank You

OK, what you need is a new doctor that truly understands TRT. Many of us use Defy Medical and we are very happy with them.

Post any recent blood tests you have, otherwise we can't give you any useful advice.

We're glad you joined Excelmale, but we need more information. Can you provide background on what caused you to seek a TRT consultation? What were your symptoms, your other medical issues, tests that were run, and protocols put in place? What sort of monitoring have you and your doctor engaged in? Most recent lab work?

Lab work? All he does is test TEST. Im lethargic, still struggle add muscle mass, have difficulty getting and especially maintaining erections. If I had labs I would post them. My fiance doesnt believe that it is physical anymore.

Check out the stickies for what labs you need, call Defy or a clinic in your area that specializes in TRT, and report back in 6 - 8 weeks.

MJ23 - I too started with a GP who only tested Free, Total and E2. Then went to a specialist*who*did several pages worth of blood labs.

Would Defy know what I need to have tested?

Also, I am a little hesitant with seeing a doctor without seeing one...if that makes sense.

You'll never achieve success with a TRT protocol if you and your doctor aren't on the same page, working as a team. Yes, Defy know what they are doing (I am not a patient, though I've spoken with them in the past). You worry about using them? Give them a call and speak to their office. If you stay in your current situation, are you likely to get any better?

O'yeah, Defy will definitely know what tests you need. I understand your hesitation about working with a Doc you don't actually see. I'm same way, I've talked with Defy and they know their stuff for sure, but I work with a place across the street from my house who specializes in TRT. As for how long it took to get results, brother this is an ongoing deal. I'm far better today than the challenges I had when starting TRT, but not quite 100% dialed in yet.

There's so much more to this, more than sitcking yourself with T once a week, it's archaic and really isn't doing you any favors. Please call Defy. The care is phenomenal and Dr Saya and his team are on the cuttting edge of hormone replacement. I'm a patient.

I have been shooting emails back and forth right now. You do the telemedicine? I actually thought of flying down there to get it going.

I am in the same boat as you 2 years older yet she ran already lol.. I am so down it's not even funny. I started with defy hopefully things change soon it's a horrible situation believe me I know.

telemed WORKS! The only thing you do locally is get a complete physical on the form Defy provides, and that can be done at one of the lowly "minute-clinic" setups in pharmacys like Walgreens or CVS.
Additionally you'll have bloodwork at Quest or LabCorp, the rest is all email and phone calls. Its really THAT simple.

MJ23,
I'm sure everything looks bleak at the moment but I think that most of us on TRT had our ups and downs and disappointments while trying to dial in our protocols to what works best for us as individuals. The best thing I did was educate myself about TRT by reading as much as possible and participating in forums like this. Although 100mg is a fairly standard starting does, without detailed blood work, dose adjustments and the possible addition of other drugs (especially HCG) there is no way of knowing if 100mg is too much, too little or just right for you. This is a complicated field and you will likely not become an expert but I believe you can gain some control and confidence in the process if you learn as much as you can. Nelson's book "Testosterone: A Man's Guide" is a very good place to start (available as an eBook on Kindle). A lot of people only realize the full libido benefits of TRT with the addition of HCG. Being in Canada i did not readily have access to the same resources as the members in the USA but I work with a Dr. that has extensive HRT experience with women (and a little with men) and is very forward-thinking, so when I present the various successful protocols to her, she is typically willing to try as long as I get regular blood work and stay within physiological levels. The main thing is don't lose hope! Many of us have lived your frustration while trying to find what works best for us. I am very happy with the results I am experiencing now and my current protocol looks very different from where I started.

The DRs here know what they are doing.....
You get one-on-one time with them on the phone consult, after they receive your paperwork and blood work, to develop a program for you.
As noted above you will get the forms for the blood work and you can go to a Quest or LABCORP draw center near you and get the blood work done under your insurance.
ALSO
As noted get NELSON'S BOOK ASAP!!!!!
