Hypoglycemia from blood donation

I donated blood a week ago today due to high hematocrit. since the donation I have been having hypoglycemia symptoms especially when working out and being active. I feel dizzy, light headed and feel like I am going to pass out. Once I eat carbs I immediately feel better which is what makes me believe its a blood sugar issue. I spoke with nurse from Defy but she did not have an answer and didn't seem to understand what I was telling her. My doctors office is closed today so I will follow up with him tomorrow. My question is has anyone else had this issue while donating and how long does it last? This is the first time I have donated blood in a long time because I never feel good after donating but this is the worst it has been. Thanks.
