How to Know if Indian Cialis is real or counterfeit?

A friend out here in Asia gave me a few bottles of Cialis 20mg which I'll be breaking them up and using as a part of a body building stack. He got them from India, and I'm just trying to determine if they are real. I'll be breaking them up in quarters, taking 5mg in the morning, 5mg at night. I do not have erectile issues so that will not be an indicator of whether or not they're legitimate or not, I'd imagine.

Anyway, I broke it up and took a quarter this morning and the taste wasn't bitter at all. It dissolved in my mouth pretty quickly when I pushed it on the roof of my mouth and did not have a chemical taste at all. It had a very slight sweetness to it, if anything. I've never taken any kind of prescription medication that wasn't nasty to the taste.

So anyway, anybody who takes Cialis 20 mg prescribed in the states, (orange tear drop pill with c20) Would you mind doing me a weird favor and seeing what it tastes like if you break it in half and let it dissolve in your mouth? If your legitimate prescription has a different taste, that'll let me know mine is counterfeit. I'd prefer not to take this Indian mystery pill until I'm more confident it's not something dangerous. My friend mentioned his friend who provided it is the manufacturer and showed him the paperwork, they have zero reason to lie to me, I didn't buy anything, I just want to be safe about it

Thanks for any input

What lab does it say it is from? I don't think taste is going to tell you anything as different labs use different fillers, binders, and coatings in and on their pills.

A lot of times, pills contain more inactive ingredients than the actual medicine itself.

I had the same idea as you before when I got some Indian generics, and I also had some brand name Cialis. I was concerned that the generic didn't taste like brand name. If I remember correctly, the brand name was bitter, while the generic had a sweeter taste. The generic works just fine though for me.

Also, even if you don't have ED, it will still have an effect on you. At least it does for me. If you become comfortable with their legitimacy, take 20mg and wait 6 hours (it takes some guys longer than the advertised 30 min for it to have the full effect). You will probably notice increased ease with having an erection and it feel harder and fuller.

You might also get some side effects that are common with tadalafil such as congestion, headache, muscle aches (I get it my thighs pretty bad at higher doses), etc.

This should tell you whether they are truly legit. The Indian generics tend to seem slightly under-dosed, that is why I mention to go ahead and take 20mg. Even if it isn't under-dosed, there shouldn't be any problem.

What MG123 stated; also, do you notice an increase in vascularity and harder pumps in the gym during and after each training session?

One hard fact about ANY prescription drugs made in pill or tablet form produced in a licensed facility in India they will leave the manufacturer in blister packs clear on one side and printed foil on the backside that shows the lot number, name of medication/MG strength and manufacturer name with date of manufacture and expiration date no exceptions it is part of strict government packaging compliancy from a licensed facility.

Really can't imagine why someone would remove them from the nice airtight labeled packaging to put them in a bottle. Fake tadalafil meds are almost exclusively coming out of Asian countries these days and test all over the place for sildenafil and vardenafil with little or no tadalafil at all.

Reputable drug manufacturers in India such as Cipla, Cooper, Sun Pharma etc. operate state of the art world class facilities that rival anything we have in the US for process and quality control and there tadalafil is 100% legit.

OP please post pictures of what you have, packaging, documentation etc. and I'll do what I can to help you identify where it came from if it's the real thing.

ETA:

Chasedat, you described branded Cialis (teardrop shape, C20 impression) is this what you have (or something made to look that way with a grainy impression)? If so, it's almost certainly of questionable origin as no India facility tries to copycat the C20 marking on their tear drop shaped pill.

Both HAB Pharma and Cipla of India both produce a tear drop shape 20mg tadalafil pill with a 20 impression but there's no C those are all counterfeit meds being produced on Chinese machinery to appear as Eli Lilly produced Cialis.

There's literally no market in India for counterfeit meds these days, safe legit tested meds from licensed manufacturers are widely available for tap water prices as it's all cost/tax controlled by the government and cheap and easy to get.

Really nice response; please keep it up.

Thanks Gene!

I'm a long time reader of your posts and do what little I can to contribute something back here. I updated my post with an ETA after a few things came to mind, I'm almost certain chasedat has counterfeit Asian Cialis if his pills have the copycat C20 impression on them as no legit Indian producer tries to mimic the Eli Lilly impression they just stick to a 20 without the C.

Thanks for the responses guys, here's a couple photos:

Red flags to me is that it's in a bottle instead of blister packs, and though the impression seems fine, the edge of the pill is kind of chipped on some of the pills. The taste was a red flag to me, but it sounds like that may not be an indication after all.

The document was apparently misplaced by the person who gave these to me, so I don't have any more information.

I'll continue to pay attention to any difference in erectile function. As it stands without it, I get hard very easy. So we'll see how it goes.

Looking closer on the label, it looks like the red cursive says "lilly". Perhaps some fake eli lilly labeling?

Chasedat,
You have counterfeit Cialis, in fact the US FDA has intercepted and tested quite a bit of that exact garbage and as I indicated in an earlier post it has various compounds in it and none of them are actually tadalafil.

Several counterfeit versions of Asian produced Cialis can be identified by the following differences on the label of the bottle when compared to the authentic product. The label:

~lists “AUSTR81137” on the front of the bottle (which yours does it's of known Chinese origin);
~does not include an NDC number on the front of the bottle, such as “NDC 0002-4462-30” for the 20 mg tablets;
~does not include the tablet strength in a colored box;
~has different patterns and colors; it has yellow and darker green designs on the front label;
~has misspellings; it lists, “CLALIS is a product of: Eli lilly Australia PTY Limited” on the side of the bottle;
~lists the manufacturer location as “112 Wharf Road, WEST RYDE, NSW 2114” on the side of the bottle; and
~lists “Lot: AC 066018, Exp: 01SEP17” on the side of the bottle.

What you have in your possession is a Chinese made product, I'm looking at test results for one batch of it of that lists the contents as follows:

~This formulation % contains 34.3 ± 0.2 mg of vardenafil and 7.2 ± 0.1 mg ofhomosildenafil per tablet, 0 tadalafil.

While it might have some positive effects for someone with ED, you aren't getting the health benefits of daily tadalafil and who knows what the actual contents and purity between bottles. I'd use it to hold down the trash can and order some Ceebis from Cooper or Tadacip from Cipla in India that way you know what your taking.

Thanks for the info IronSmith! Much appreciated. I'll see about finding a legit Indian pharmacy online.
You're welcome! Good thread, and hopefully someone needing the same info will find it down the road.

I use All Day Chemist, after shopping drug prices and shipping costs they are more affordable than other popular choices.

I use 20mg Ceebis tadalafil tabs from Cooper Pharma, they test at 99.9% purity for content the cost is 92 cents US per tablet through them.

Figured I'd give my .02 to this thread.
I've tried 4-5 different versions of both sildenifil and tadafil from different vendors with varying results.
The ones I have now work the best of any I've tried and it's manly (sildenifil) and ceebis (tadalafil) from all day chemist.

Is this manufacture ok?
The director general of health services (government of India) shows Centurion as a licensed and inspected facility in good standing.

They are a small company, drop in the bucket so to speak compared to several of the larger ones in India and the list of similar sized start up's that are licensed to manufacture is over 100 pages in length.

Not a single publication by any independent lab in the public domain with specific regard to their tadalafil product however they get good marks for cardiac meds and antibiotics they export as generics.

Competition is good for everyone in any market, but there is so much of it already in larger proven facilities making ED drugs in India I think I'd stay with anyone on the list in this thread there is credible testing information from labs having no interest or ties to the manufacturers that support the quality, purity and efficacy of the products they are marketing.

That list is here: https://www.excelmale.com/forum/showthread.php?10062-Indian-Sourced-Cialis-An-Overview

All Day Chemist stopped taking credit card payments and now requires e-check, money order or wire transfer. Bit of a PITA to send a money order via mail, and there have been 4-5 prominent posts in the last year about unauthorized withdrawals from people's checking accounts after providing ADC with bank information.

ADC, like all overseas pharmacies is faced with constant issues keeping CC processor's from raising the rates to the point it requires passing costs on to consumers as the number of transactions increases over time.

Existing ADC customer accounts (or any of the Derric Wood distribution websites Reliable RX etc.) can take a credit card as an option, but they cannot offer the shipping discount they do with e-check. If you have an existing account and need to use a CC just ask them.

If there is one legitimate case of fraudulent activity involving a member transaction here with ADC I have yet to see it, many of our contributing membership in good standing has used their services repeatedly with nothing but good service and trustworthy results.

Yes, your account information can be hacked when logged on to anything anytime anywhere so keep your devices up to date and protected!

If there is so much as a shred of proof that ADC is responsible for any fraudulent activity aside from he said / she said I'd like to see it as would the rest of our members doing business with them.

More and more this is becoming the norm with many of the companies people deal with on this forum. How about setting up a secondary account and only transferring funds in and out of it for the amount of the purchase?

We have at least one member who does exactly that. A good suggestion.
