Just gave blood and my hemoglobin is at 15. If I am not mistaken, there is a direct relationship between hemoglobin and hemocirt? My Hemocrit was something like 49.8 from the last blood test I had and hemoglobin was at 16. So, is there a calculation to est hemocrit from hemoglobin?

Both measure aspects of red blood cells—Hb measures the oxygen-carrying protein, while Hct measures the percentage of red blood cells in total blood volume.

Estimated Hematocrit = Hemoglobin times 3.

16 x 3 = 48%.
