First E2 Tests Following Start of T Enanthate

I'm to check E2 levels following the start of T Enanthate (Androgel failed to move T levels at all). I realized I didn't ask if Estradiol is better drawn on the trough date, when I'd pull the testosterone, or at my - estimated - peak date.

Advice is appreciated.

Peak, using mass spectrometry.

Nelson, Not living in the US, the mass spec E2 test is not easily available to me (much to my and my doctor's frustration). I'll test with the "standard" lab - fully realizing the values will likely be inflated upward. I will be in the US after the first of the year and plan to have labs drawn when in California (both standard and sensitive). I will have some basis of comparison/correlation. I understand the importance of relying on one of the tests on an ongoing basis, not trying to match results, but when in the US I can pick up the sensitive as a check.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
