Do you vary your TRT dose by feel or keep it steady?

Hey guys,

I’ve noticed a lot of people say they feel great when they change their protocol — new ester, new dose, new timing — but after things stabilize, they start feeling kind of “meh.”

That made me wonder: does anyone here intentionally vary their dose a bit, based on how they feel?
Like using propionate and slightly adjusting — a bit lower on relaxing days or weekends, a bit higher when you feel more pressure or need more drive. Then adding some DHT every now and then.

I also see a lot of guys constantly tweaking their protocols over time — changing esters, doses, injection frequencies — and I started thinking, isn’t that basically the same thing, just on a longer time frame?

I’ve seen a similar pattern with ADHD medication too. When I used to take it the “standard” way (steady dose every day), it felt dull and off after a while. But when I took smaller, flexible doses depending on the day, it actually worked much better.

So yeah, I’m wondering if something similar could apply to TRT — a more adaptive, responsive approach instead of chasing the perfect static protocol.

Anyone tried this or found a rhythm that works?

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
