DHEA in over 40 man

Hi Nelson. Thanks for adding me to the group. I am a 46 yr male. Dr gave me 25mg of Clomid which raised my T from 368 to 832 and estradiol from 31 to 70. Then he gave me 1mg per wk of arimidex bc of bloating and hi estradiol. That got the Estra down to 40. Moved up to 2 per wk. I would like to know what your thoughts are on me adding DHEA

You may be overdosing anastrozole. I bet your doctor used the wrong estradiol test. The only accurate one for men is the ultrasensitive test that uses high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) and NOT immunoassays.

Role of Estradiol in Men and Its Management

Your DHEA (I assume it is DHEA-S) is low. You may want to supplement (25-50 mg per day and retest 4 weeks later).

Do you feel sexual on Clomid? Many men do not even with its increase of testosterone blood levels.
