Twenty seven months after starting a protocol consisting of 16mg of testosterone enanthate every morning, and 250 units of hcg twice a week, the following test results were posted. A Canadian, my TRT-related labs are drawn in the US (with the enthusiastic support of my doctor who curses the absence of the estradiol/sensitive lab test here in our country).
Total Testosterone: 1030 ng/dl (264-916)
Free Testosterone: 18.4 pg/ml (7.2-24.0)
Estradiol/Sensitive: 33.1 pg/ml (8.0-35.0)
SHBG: 23.3 nmol/l (19.3-76.4)
Hemoglobin: 14.7g/dl (12.6-17.7)
Hematocrit: 43.8% (37.5-51.0)
The two testosterone results are essentially unchanged from the last test, as is the estradiol level. SHBG is higher, slightly, while hematocrit and hemoglobin are also up a bit.
I feel remarkably well. Energy, focus/attention, physical capacity, erectile function, and libido are all remarkably strong. I have no complaints.
I post these to let others know that injecting testosterone daily is a viable protocol. I adopted it in response to low SHBG and rising estradiol. E2 was at 55 two years ago; it's been near the top of the reference range since the daily shots produced stable serum levels. Most certainly won't need to turn to daily injections, twice weekly or every other day shots lead to success for the vast majority of men. But it's something to keep in mind should factors not line up as you and your doctor had hoped.
