CDG & DIM - what's the consensus these days?

Hey guys, what’s the general consensus on calcium d-glucarate and DIM these days? More recently, I’ve read that both can also increase clearance of testosterone. Do they really help most guys or not?

I do notice a libido boost on TRT when I take Cialis, which is known to lower E2.

IMHO...1) will lighten your wallet, 2) effect is placebo/psychosomatic, 3) maybe it does "something"...in that order. Like almost all of this the benefits and actions are hugely subjective to the individual.

We don't see much traction at all on either one of those supplements on this forum, not much discussion at all.

Thanks Vince, I trust your opinion on this. I haven't experienced much from either one myself, but wasn't sure.

DIM seems to control hormonal acne for me. Before DIM and CDG was added to my daily supplements I experienced breakouts on TEST even while on continuous daily doxycycline.

I used both for a short time, until I watched a You Tube video and did some more research and decided to stop using both. From what I learned is DIM increases estrogen and decreases testosterone. Same for CDG. I agree they are both a waste of money. I use stinging nettle root 3X a day and it does seem to keep the estrogen down. My estradiol is much lower using it. Go to ATP Science and look for podcast episode 59. Lots of very good information.

I don't use DIM anymore due to its supposed effect on mTor but I can vouch 3000 mg a day of CDG has stopped my acne breakouts that I got on every protocol regardless of dosage or frequency. Acne gone. Oily skin gone. I have a blood test tomorrow and I will see if it lowered E2 and if my test trough is lower. E2 was 72 last check so we shall see. If it eliminates test faster I'll ditch it.

Tested today So my E2 went from 72 to 45 both on through. Now I did change esters from cyp to enanthate and dropped 6 mg per shot. 70 mg every 4 days to 64 mg every 4 days. Seems like a drastic drop in E2 (3 month duration)

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
