CBC and FERRITIN Can I get feedback?

I just had a CBC pull along with FERRITIN. Is my hgb high relative to hct? I need to take iron since I give blood every other month. Could this be the reason hgb is so high? I'm due to give blood here in about a week.

Would it be worth getting my thyroid checked out?

I believe a round figure for HCT is three (3) times Hb. You're coming in on this blood test at 2.77 which is within a normal variance. You do need to supplement iron because your ferritin level is low, not critically low, but low. You need to get that up over 100, preferably 130 to 150. You are probably donating too much. I know you are doing it to bring down your HCT but it is also dragging down your iron and ferritin. If you keep donating like you are you will never get the iron and ferritin up even with supplementation.

Possibly your dose of testosterone is too high? What are your testosterone levels, Total and Free? What is your Estradiol Sensitive and SHBG sitting at? What is your injection protocol? Depending on several factors you might be able to lower your testosterone, change your injection protocol, and eliminate the need for blood donations.

Low iron and ferritin, specifically low ferritin, can have a negative impact on how your thyroid performs. It is always a good idea to have a good thyroid panel ran. It should include TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, and the two thyroid antibodies. An under performing thyroid can give you low T symptoms even if you do not have low T.

Can you post your entire set of labs? If so, remove your personal info like name, address, etc.....

Why are you donating blood so often? By the looks of your HCT you are on TRT. What is your dose? Do you take HCG as well? It's difficult to figure out whats going on without knowing your protocol.
