Causes of low estradiol

Hi, my estradiol is 6.1. I’m on 100mg test c weekly infused with anastrozole ( increased from 50 this week) 500 iu hcg twice weekly. Test is 340....should I start taking DHEA and pregnenolone? Been on trt 3 months. Newbie here just trying to figure things out. Thanks for any replies!

You answered your own question. You taking testosterone with anastrozole in it. How much anastrozole? Get yourself testosterone only and add anastrozole only if needed

What is the range for the estradiol test? Was it the ultra sensitive test? If yes and your doctor see this number and doesn’t do anything about it... do yourself a favor and find another doctor.

Not the correct method for men but regardless estradiol is too low

The immunoassay estradiol tests typically read a little high. This is almost certainly a case of crashed estradiol. As Healthman suggested, the anastrozole dose is too high, illustrating why mixing it with cypionate is a bad idea.

Any clinic that provides testosterone mixed with anastrozole should be questioned. Marketing gimmick that may cause low estradiol issues.

Fast forward to 3/15...see test results below ...after removing combo anastrozole/test from weekly shot....now just on 100mg trest c and hcg twice a week, 50 units.....do I reintroduce ai? .25 twice a week? Am worried about crashing again

There are many ways to lower estrogen for those on TRT, one sure method is inject smaller more frequent doses. I inject EOD so I don't need an AI, the AI usage always ends with low E2 for me so good riddance.

If you're not interested in fertility at the moment, HCG may not be needed and E2 will decrease once you cease HCG. You can break up your T injections into smaller ones to decrease estrogen as well to further decrease E2.

It looks like you need a dosage reduction anyway, so take this time to make some changes.

I would cut the testosterone dose by a half. It's doubtful that anyone on TRT needs total testosterone greater than 1,500 ng/dL, especially if this is a trough measurement.

If I had trough testosterone >1,500 ng/dL on 100 mg of cypionate a week then I would try dropping to 50 mg per week divided into at least two doses. I would continue with hCG, though if estradiol stayed high I'd consider reducing it too.

If you feel good and have no issues I wouldnt mess with trying to control E. If all youre looking at is a number yet you have the benefits of being on TRT, leave it alone, your body should adjust. And more frequent shots does help control it, so try that before lowering your dose. An AI on 100mg a week is absurd!

Personally I'd be reluctant to have estradiol that's possibly much higher than that of any normal man on earth.
