Can Trt cause Prolactin levels to increase?

So prior to TRT my Prolactin level was 16.5. (4-15.2). At my 6 week bloodwork it came in at 30.
I was recommended to see an endocrinologist about my slightly elevated at my initial visit anyway to check for a pituitary tumor. Just wondering if TRT can increase it even more.

I've not heard of TRT increasing prolactin.

Prolactin can be raised due to ejaculation, eating or even exercise. Did you do any of those things before the blood test?

Though an older study, it was reported that exogenous testosterone actually lowers prolactin levels.

HRT did not raise my Prolactin the two times I've tested, either time is was @ a 4 or a 5.

You need to be awake few hours before test also.

Mine is slighty higher on TRT

refrain from sex at least 24 hrs, including chokin your chicken.

Well, for sure sex less than 24hrs before test and ate 1 hour before test.

I always fast on any test, I think it's the best way to go even if it's not "required".

Yap l, me to. Problem is also in many labs they don't ask you questions when did you wake up, are you fasting, on some kind of therapy etc...

Low thyroid function can increase prolactin, so have your doc check TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3 and antibodies.
