Bummed out now...After successful start with HCG monotherapy

Buy Lab Tests Online
My E2 has always been very low. I posted results in my other threads. Before starting this journey my low point for T was 280s with E2 around 7. The highest my E2 read was last week at 19 with only HCG mono 400iu.

Brief History:

For years I have had hot flashes off and on. Joint pain, muscle aches etc. But last year it got really bad (especially my energy levels and brain fog, concentration issues) then came the ED issues and that's when I started to search.

I am willing to bet my problem is two fold. Testicles and Pituitary. I think the chemo I had 15 years ago did damage and now that I am older and my body is falling apart the parts that worked OK when I was 15 years younger just ain't cutting it now. :(

Still can't figure out why the HCG worked at first and then faded. But I have read that it can happen and there doesn't seem to be a definite answer as to why.
Post the links to those other threads.

Chemo I believe can cause primary. I know where you're coming from with the low e2. I had naturally low e2 as well and man they should use that on suspects at Guantanamo.

Describe your hot flashes. I had that too so I'm curious what yours were like.

Well, over the years, I have asked my wife if I felt hot to her. She would check my forehead and of course I was cool. I would even take my temp and all was well. The "heat" felt mostly contained to my forehead area of my head. This freaked me out from time to time since I had low grade fever with my cancer. Felt very similar.

More recently, the hot flashes have been like waves that start at my shoulder blades and radiate down my back and into my legs and out to my arms. Muscle aches and joint pain would also manifest itself from time to time too.

Last weekend was rough when my mood just totally got hosed and I got into that huge fight with my wife and son. I decided the hell with this and just went to bed. I layed there with the hot flashes and was actually doing some sweating too with it.

I really think that I have been dealing with this in some form or another since chemo. I attributed things like concentration and reduced sex drive on PTSD and the chemo. But I wonder if it's not damage done from the treatment itself or a by product of the cancer. I was really sick with lymphoma. I had terrible symptoms, itching, balls ached something terrible, muscle aches, joint pain, flu like symptoms etc. I dealt with that for almost 6 months while trying to get a diagnosis. Once chemo started those symptoms quickly went away.

I look back, before chemo my wife and I had sex all the time. After treatment, It went from 3 to 5 times a week to 3 to 5 times a month, then the past 3 to 4 years, maybe once or twice a month. :(

I still don't see that many labs posted, in fact you linked me to this thread. Basically I was looking for more pre trt labs when most of what I saw was while on HCG.

I was curious if you had itching with the hot flashes like little itchy pin pricks that are almost like emergency itches. This doesn't matter, it's something I had, and I am curious about others.

You seem to have been through a lot, and it's taken it's toll on you, I personally think that being a cancer survivor you deserve to feel good.

That being said, Dr. saya mentioned you might have to consider TRT + HCG, is there any reason you're attempting HCG first? If Dr saya is suggesting it, then he must think it's necessary and you should strongly consider it.

From my perspective, it seems like TRT might help you a lot.

Nov 2015 I was at 348 TT
Jan 2016 was at 287 TT
Mar (HCG Mono) 560ish TT
Aug 350ish TT
Sept 340s TT
Oct (Last week - after a month of 400iu HCG ED Up from 500 every 3.5 days) 357

Yesterday I started Nateso (I had a sample from Nov of last year! The first Doc that I saw) In the mean time my current Doctor ordered compounded cream TRT for me...Once that comes in I will be switching to that.

So as you can see, I am now doing TRT. I will also continue with the HCG for now I am going to try 500 E 3.5 days. I will get labs done in 30 days again and check all the numbers out.

The funny thing about being a cancer survivor. I mentality for quite some time was, "well, at least I am still alive". But recently it's gotten to the point of why did I go through all that crap 15 years ago to be living like I am. Don't get me wrong, I have had good days. But I am not the same person physically or mentally that I was before I was diagnosed with cancer.

Yes, I know what you are talking about the itching. I have that too. When the hot flash its its like prickling that requires a scratch. An that scares the crap out of me too (or did) cause I had the same experience with cancer only magnitudes worse. The itching got so bad at times from the lymphoma that I actually ripped into my skin on my legs and feet until I started treating with a high dose antihistamine until my chemo started. :(

I guess because you don't feel good because of the low test symptoms?

It's called "pruritis" medically. Since starting TRT it has for the most part, gone away for now. I would get it when I'd either get anxious suddenly or scared, for example I'd get anxious at a cash register because I dropped my money, then get a hot flash on my lower back that would itch intensely, I'd itch it and it would spread to my upper thigh or upper back and shoulders and would intensify in a itchy-scratchy cycle. Same if I got scared by a car that looked like it was coming into my lane.

Also heat, but only in cooler outside temps, like a 50f day outside but the sun suddenly came out. Boom big ol pruritic hot flash where my skin was on fire.

One time I got it really bad after eating hot soup. I had to go outside in the cold air because I was practically freaking out.

I have been doing a lot of research into this and developing ridiculously complicated theories involving gigantic words. I doubt you or anyone would be interested lol.

Since starting TRT and getting my E2 to a upper range level, I rarely get them. I never got it in summer for some reason, so I am not sure if the TRT stopped it or the warm weather. I started TRT in may this year, and almost RIGHT after starting TRT it finally got warm where I live.

Yup,
Pruritis is it. I had "genrealized" pruritis from the cancer. That was actually my first symptom that cropped up after feeling kinda crappy for a month or so before everything really started to kick in.

Your symptoms describe how I have been feeling for a while and the same kinds of events can trigger an episode.

Body's are very strange.

I guess the low T is causing and has been causing all of this. It sucks to not feel good..I hope that it is the low T that is causing it so maybe I can fix it finally and get on with my life

Did the generalized pruritus from the cancer feel different than what you have been feeling for a while now?

I hope that makes sense lol.

I personally believe it is more due to low E2 that causes it, although my test was pretty low, my E2 was very very low.

The itching was terrible. Nothing like now. But it was all over like now. The thing about the puritis before was that when it would start in an area it never let up. It was really bad on the tops of my feet, my legs and the top of my head. I also had chest and some arm itching.

It was like a bad mosquito bite but no bump. Just insane itching. I still have the scars on my feet from ripping at it.
