Bloodwork & FSH

Johnny Test

For the last 3 months I’ve added HMG twice a week along with my HCG. HMG is at 75ius each shot. I’ve been on TRT a long time and am trying to recover fertility without going off. For the vast majority of my time on TRT my FSH levels have been negligible (via bloodwork) at < 0.1. Now after 3 months of HMG I’m at 0.5. Now I know this is still low but it’s showing progress.

My question is….is this test result showing the FSH I’m injecting or is this a possible indication (at least a step in the right direction) that I’m regaining partial fertility?

You most likely are detecting what you're injecting, if anything. With continued TRT there's no reason to expect restored pituitary function and endogenous LH/FSH. But that's not the point of this protocol: the hope is that the hCG and hMG provide enough testicular stimulation to regain some fertility. A fertility test will tell you if it's working.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
