Hello,

I just completed my one month of TRT: 350iu twice a week, 80mg TestCyp twice a week.

Did take my last dose of HCG on Wednesday and TestCyp on Thursday and did blood work on Friday.

Now some of my values are high and I have high BP, it went up, I have stopped TRT for the time being as I am not feeling well. Here are the results.....I have asked for an appointment, but what can be going wrong here, does these high levels increase BP, will they remain permanently high, what should be the best course of action?

RBC 5.95 High x10E6/uL 4.14 - 5.80 01

Hemoglobin 17.8 High g/dL 12.6 - 17.7 01

Hematocrit 52.9 High % 37.5 - 51.0 01

Testosterone, Serum 692 ng/dL 348 - 1197

Free Testosterone(Direct) 31.6 High pg/mL 6.8 - 21.5

DHEA-Sulfate 388.9 High ug/dL 71.6 - 375.4

You need at least 6 weeks before doing labs to get serum levels to stabilize.

Your hematocrit is already elevated so I would give blood as soon as you can.

Once you start TRT you can't just "stop".

Are you under a Doctor's care because a well trained TRT Physician would be managing all off this.

Hemoglobin and hematocrit are both high. You've written before that you are a Defy patient; I would be astonished if they don't simply provide you with an order for therapeutic phlebotomy, possibly on an on-going basis, so as to bring those values into reasonable levels. As for your other labs, after a month you're still adapting to your protocol; it will take more time for your androgen levels to set. But you simply shouldn't stop TRT. You're system isn't producing it naturally and you will feel miserable (to say nothing of throwing the ongoing management of your protocol into chaos).

I agree I would start donating blood every 8 weeks, if you need a script to donate Defy will write you one.

He likes to claim that he's with Defy which time and again judging by his posts is a total fabrication.

Gentlemen, I was getting an opinion from you. Nothing is fabricated so take it easy. I got a prescription and gave blood plus defy asked me to lower my dose from 160 mg to 120 mg per week in two doses and continue 350 iu of HCG twice per week. I was concerned as my BP went to 140/105. My concern was Blood pressure. Can these values bring the BP up?

It's not likely...did Dr. Saya or Crisler tell you to come off your TRT?

If so, what was the reason?

You didn't read my post properly. He asked me to decrease the dose. I stopped it myself, as a matter of fact just missed one injection after watching my BP hit the roof. What will do in that case?

Your BP is just barely scraping the bottom of the high range. Systolic of 140 is the lowest level at which one can even be considered high BP, so it is nothing to worry about. Having a large coffee before testing or walking up a single flight of stairs can raise BP several points by itself, so you may not even be high unless you have several tests that all show you at 140 when totally at rest - and then as I said earlier, that is still the bottom of the range.

I wouldn't say that your blood pressure "hit the roof." I understand that it startled you when you had a reading higher than normal, but as ERO pointed out, it's slightly high, not dramatically elevated. It could be a reflection of anxiety, caffeine, lack of sleep, professional stress, a lot of possibilities. You should follow it, continuing to monitor it, but it's not a four alarm fire situation. By stopping your TRT, cold, you will very shortly be in a worse predicament than you were before you began it. After a month of injections it is likely that you've shut down your natural production of testosterone. By withdrawing your exogenous testosterone, your injections, your body will suddenly be in a significant hypogonadal state. You had very low testosterone before you began therapy; you could easily have levels below that for quite some time. It would be wise to follow the direction you received from Dr. Saya and decrease your dose, not stop it.

CoastWatcher, I reduced the TestCyp dose as you suggested and the doctor recommended. I may have some anxiety in the back of my head worrying about my high BP and a chance to get a stroke or clot due to high HCT and HB,. Also the TRT was working when in week 3 to 4 the sex drive was to the roof and lbido too but in week 5 its down, energy spiked for a week (week 3-4) then dropped again. I gave blood yesterday about a pint and the BP remains in the same range.... I think I am frustrated as I am counting on TRT for my strength mood and lbido... Did it stop working? Does high total DHEA-S and total T as you can see above cause it to stop working? I had a 60 mg (lower dose) Test cyp yesterday and a 350Iu HCG today, After testCyp within 24 hours I saw no difference, I think it should be immediate and god knows when will the HCG start working.
