Hi My blood test results as of 11-16-2015. I am allergic to tropical testosterone gel. (Axiron, Androgel, Testim etc). I haven't taken any testosterone medicine since May 2015. People look for love in the wrong places. I looked for doctors in the wrong places. Please advised and thank you for your help in advance. Jack

Well your Primary Hypogonadal as you can see with your elevated LH panel relative to your Testosterone panels.

If you don't know, Primary means that your Testes are not producing enough natural Testosterone so you LH serum levels are high as this hormone signals the Testes to product it.

When LH is high and Testosterone is low it's a classic sign for Primary condition.

Tell us your history?

Any injury to the groin? Taking any Meds? Medical and life history?

You need to a TRT Doc who can restore you back to healthy levels and also to diagnosis why you are Primary as there are medical conditions that can cause that to happen.

Jack,

Your LH and FSH are really high, and your Total Testosterone is in the tank, which can indicate testicular failure (Primary Hypogonadism). I'm not a Doctor, but I do know that you need to see one. ERO made a great recommendation...take his advice.

BTW, I noticed that your screename is 24xx23xy (as in an extra X). Maybe I'm reading too much into a simple screename, but is there something else you're not telling us about your condition here?

Hello all, J
In year 2001, I was diagnosed with hypogonadism, my total Testosterone was 37 by my primary doctor. I don't remember my free testosterone value. He sent me to Doshi Diagnostics for Ultrasound for my testicles. They were very tiny. The size was resembled of an unshelled peanut. Since then I was treated with Androgel 1%, one packet a day for 30 days came back do blood nothing changed. He increased to two packets a day for 30 days. After 15 days of using the gel for two packets a day, my right leg felt numbness. He ordered me to stop Androgel medicine.

He prescribed me Depo-Testosterone Cypionate, 200mg/ml once a month injected in the buttock area. It worked, and jumped from two digits to three digits, my testosterone level was 250. In between I have seen a lot of so called best and well known Endocrinologists. None can treat me.

Then I googled about Testosterone something came up 200mg per month is too much at first week, then it declined 2[SUP]nd[/SUP], 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] 4[SUP]th[/SUP] week. I showed get injected 100mg every week. I showed it to my new primary doctor. Then every week I go to his office for injection. It really worked, and it got my testosterone up to mid ranges 505, male ranges 250-1000 but then I have hot flashes.

I was born in year 1966, Birth Defects with two XX and one Y (klinefelter syndrome). I didn't know this until October 2011. Endocrinologist (she) I advised her that I am allergic to Tropical Testosterone gel. Androgel 1%, Testim, She prescribed me Androgel 1.62% two pumps a day rubbed on upper shoulders and chests. After 30 days, my right leg numbed. She drawn my blood and increased the gel to four pumps (not working, getting worst). My primary said stop seeing her.

My Mom's doctor. He said why you don't go to NY Presbyterian – Weill Cornell. They have a lot of great doctor there. In November 2013, I made an appointment for new patient to see Dr. Darius Paduch. He specialized in Klinefelter Syndrome. My appointment was March 11, 2014 (waited four months).

I always advised doctors and Endocrinologist that I allergic to Tropical Testosterone but they gave me different name of Testosterone gel. He gave me Arimidex 1mg every other day for my Estrogen and continued my 100mg/ml a week testosterone injection. He said you will lose weight within three months. After three months, my hotflash still the same I advised him. He advised me to stop Arimidex and he changed it to exemestane 25mg, (Aromasin). After six weeks, I have chronic joints pains. (Knees, ankle, wrist, fingers).

Then he ordered me stopped Testosterone Injection. He prescribed me Axiron gel (already told him I allergic to gel). In June 2014 before taking Axiron (2 pumps per day, under armpit, 1 each side), my T-level was 687. After six weeks using Axiron, my T-level was 55 and I have a swelling right foot (from foot to calf). The color of my foot is light purple.

He said he gave these two medicines Exemestane and Axiron to over 200 of his patients and none has my symptom. He referred me to see his colleague, Dr. Pagets, Rheumatology (told me side effect of the Axiron, I don't have RA.).

You don't miss much, do you ?

I also have Venous insufficiency. Both of my knees are in pain. Walking on flat surface is fine but go up/down steps very painful. My Left eye has Macular degeneration 20/200, can only see zig zag E with glasses (no cure). Right eye 20/40. I have high prescription Myopia.

I am Asian, born in South Vietnam. My parents have 10 children, 8 boys and 2 girls (#6 and #10). I am #9. (all of these are just for me, NO SHARING) :)

I had a feeling that was the case. Thanks for being so honest, and sharing this with us.

As for the rest of your plight with the never ending chorus line of "medical professionals" (and I use that term loosely) treating your medical condition, you have my sincere sympathy.

You are in desperate need of Doctor that knows what he is doing. Many here feel that those Doctors are located at Defy Medical, and I agree. Please do yourself a huge favor, and contact them asap.

Jackie, I have nothing to hide or shame about it. I told everyone in case they know someone or relatives that have my symptoms and get treated but I doubted. Most best, well known, top 5, 10 Doctors in New York City I have seen are no good because they treated me like everyone else. No matter how many years of experiences they have claimed don't mean anything to me unless they can treat me.

I have contacted Defy Medical and have $195 ready. I am filling out the 17 pages long medical history. Hope they can help me

Good for you dude, and they should be able to use your existing bloodwork as well. They will ask you to choose between their 2 Doctors for the consult, Dr. Saya or Dr. Crisler. Dr. Saya will take a little longer to get the appointment, maybe an extra week. My personal recommendation is to choose Dr Saya for the consult. Good luck.

That's right, you don't have anything to be ashamed of. I was treading lightly on the subject because it is very personal medical information. I was also trying to show a little empathy because of the horrific standard of medical care you've received over the past 14 years.

That's great to hear. If anyone can help you, it's Dr. Saya or Dr. Crisler.

Let us know how it goes with Defy.

One more thing: Your eGFR (kidney function) is on the low side, your total cholesterol is higher than top value and your A1C is over the high side of the range. Are you overweight?

Have you tried a low carb diet? Is your 250 mg/dL triglyceride value after taking Lovaza for a while? How is your alcohol consumption?

Nelson, 250 mg/dl is from 09/21/2015. Then 11/16/2016, it is 312mg/dL Triglyceride value. I started taking Lovaza on 12/03/2015. I don't drink alcohol. I have tried all kind of diets low carb, protein, etc. None is working.
