Hello everyone!

I visited my doctor because of all the symptoms i got. I didn't hit puberty as i should. I was really small till i was 17 years old and then my body start growing too fast to 185cm. I was always anxious when looking at other school mates growing their beard and body hair. I lack of all that. Also my penis didn't grow to the size as it should. I encountered a lot of stress in my childhood. Now im 26 years old and my body got almost no body hair. I feel really dumb, can't build muscle mass and i struggle to make it through the day because of my low energy. I also feel really bad chronic pain in my joints, my neck and sometimes headaches. I'm depressed because i feel like a young boy when approaching women. I got no self confidence because of the lack of my facial hair. Feels really bad.

My testosterone results are: 22.03 pg/ml Reference range: 7.0 - 22.7

My legs and my arms are also really long which could be a sign of hypogonadism i think.
My doctor doesn't want to do anything. I feel like we need to do something here, i can't struggle my whole life. I already wasted all the best years of my life.

Any help or advice would help.

Have a nice evening everyone.

I'm located in Slovenia. I have only the results of another check i did a year before this one with results: 7.32 μg/L at the reference range: 2.8 - 8.0.

Assuming the lab didn’t botch the job you’re at the very top of the range. Even with really high SHBG I doubt testosterone is your problem.

Is there any way to get a full blood panel done so everyone on here has a better idea of what’s going on?

I'm trying to convince my doctor to send me to endokrinologist but it takes a year here in Slovenia to get there. I will try to get a full blood panel done and will post it when i get the results! Thanks everyone for reply.

Bro, as far as i can see your T levels are really high. When it comes to beards and body hair - it's not just testosterone, man. It's genetics. I have testostosterone almost TWICE the top of the range and i still can't grow a beard. Yeah i have more facial hair than i began with but it's really shitty. They're like pubic hair. While my dad can grow a very good and thick beard and i am guessing that he has AT BEST half of testosterone i have. I obviously didn't get my 'body hair' genetics from my dad. Now, i am not saying you shouldn't get yourself tested - do it. Check your SHBG, Free Testosterone, DHT, Estriadol, LH, FSH and Total testosterone once again. But your Total T (it is your total T, right?) looks REALLY high. I've seen T results of some other perfectly healthy 30-years old-ish guys who are in mid-range and have great beards. Why do you think there are some dudes who have their BACK full of hair while there are others who have none there? It's the same thing with your face. Some men can still grow very good beards but they can be less hairy than others. You're just even less hairy than them.

P.S One more thing - you said you can't build muscle. Are you sure you're doing it right? Do you eat properly and train properly?

I'm doing bodyweight training and i can see some results but i think muscles should be bigger since i'm also using whey protein. I also get really tired after training and i feel tension in my head. I understand it's a problem with genetics but i don't understand how to be confident and feel like a man with no beard. I felt really ashame in the past years but with time i honestly don't care so much anymore. I will get my whole blood check and post it here so we can see what's going on.

Have a nice day.

Is the beard thing a social norm where you live? Most asian guys can’t grow beards and plenty of hispanic guys can’t either. I hate shaving so I’d love to not have to.

Regarding diet, whey protein is great post workout because it’s a fast acting protein that illicits a huge insulin spike which is perfect post workout.

That said, just one whey protein shake a day isn’t some magic bullet to gain muscle. Muscle takes time, consistency, effort, and knowledge to build for most of us without perfect genetics. Most importantly it take a sizable amount of calories, not just protein.

I’d shoot for 1g of protein a day per pound of lean body mass you cary. Past that a good mix of healthy carbs and fats with a slight caloric surplus should help you build muscle.

Most of the time when untrained people can’t build muscle it’s simply because they are working out poorly/incorrectly, or aren’t eating enough protein/calories.

Hi Peter,

did

Hi Peter,

Did you manage to go any further with your investigations?
I basically i think i have a similar issue to you.
At the start of puberty i was similar height and size to my peers, then between the ages of 12-15 i think by puberty development was quite slow. Other boys were overtaking me in height and honestly i can't remember or have a reference if things like penis growth or testicle size enlargement was at a good pace.

I got a growth spurt when i was 17 but before that i was always short, then overtook them to my final height of 187cm. My grandfather on my mum's side is tall so i think that's where my height comes from.

Anyway, like you have quite long legs and arms and a short torso. Although weirdly very small hands, literally i think i have the smallest hands for a man in the world. Haven't seen a man with smaller hands, with really skinny fingers. If unclosed growth plates is linked to low T then surely i would have long fingers and hands. People have even commented over the years i look like a girl probably because my very low muscle mass, skinny wrists and small hands and i have very small gyno nipples it's not much but enough to be noticable in a tight t-shirt.

I recently got my testsoterone checked and one test came back totalT=560ng/dl, freeT =8ng/dl which is low but then the next test was 980ng/dl and freeT= 17ng/dl!! which is a huge difference. I need to get a 3rd test done because i'm almost doubting the T value of the 2nd test is a typo. Which is very unusual given my phenotype.

My main issue is during intercourse i lose my erection even when taking cialis, what happens is i tend to get very hot and sweaty very early and this either kills my mojo or i get tired and my dick doesn't work anymore. Did you every experience anything like this?
I'm thinking it's because of the late puberty or poor development during puberty it's made my body have this long gangly body with no muscle and it's causing weakness or circulation problems. The sweating thing happens even when sitting still for example i was on holiday eating food in a hot country and was sweating badly but no one else was around me. Maybe it's a link between hormones the hypothalamus.

I honestly don't know the answer but i'd like to get some genetic testing done to understand how my body developed this way.

Would be interested to see if you've learned anything new!
Thanks

There lies the problem......bodyweight training is not going to add much muscle mass on your body.

A few stories here for you. At 21 years old I was 6'1" and weighted about 145lbs, yes the long arms and long legs thing. Needless to say I hated the way I looked. So at 24, I started hitting the weights hard and eating a lot of calories. Year after year my weight went up to the point in my 40's I was hitting 290lbs and extremally strong and muscular. Whey protein is not the key to gaining weight or adding muscle.......calories are the key. You are what we call in the industry a slow gainer. You need to train with 6-8 reps and heavy weight, doing things like deadlift and squats.

On the hair.......ton's of guys spend a whole lot of their life shaving off all the hair on their bodies. Having to shave every day of your life, trust me is a pain in the ass. Many guys would love to not have to deal with looking like a sasquatch. I can assure you facial hair is not going to get you women. Having self-esteem will go a long way. Building up your body using weight will go a long way to help build self-esteem. I went from an incredibly shy young man, to one who never had to approach a woman again. Women love a muscular man but don't want to admit it so they will end up coming to you.

Lots of good gyms in Slovenia.....
