Best testosterone injection site, no aspiration needed, avoids all nerves

How are you loading-drawing needle, back fill, same needle as injecting?
I'm presently using an Easy Touch 29 g 1/2" syringe, for both testosterone and HCG. I use the same needle, if it does dull the needle I don't notice it at all.

I used testosterone with grapeseed oil.

Thanks, really good post. I'm so comfortable injecting in my shoulders, it would almost be impossible for me to switch.
Do you use z trackin
The only syringe I use is the Easy Touch 27g 1/2. I no longer do Sub Q, only shallow IM.

Do you use z-track method on shoulders and vg injections?
I also use 27 gauge -1/2 inch needle.

When I inject in the VG, I use the z track method. I don't use it when I inject in my shoulder. Maybe I should start.

I don't do upper outer quad anymore, I've hit too many nerves and veins and gushers, so I'm done with that location. Ventro glute is not that small of an area, painless and the only area where you don't need to aspirate.
Old post, but I think I just did my last quad shot. Had a gusher 6 days ago that still hurts.

how do you exactly determine where to inject into the VG injection site?

this description does nothing for me (english is not my first language, I'm not familiar with these medical terms and if am not mistaken this description is for nurses and impossible to do by yourself):

"First, place the heel of your hand (use your L hand if injecting into the patients R VG and vice-versa) over the patients greater trochanter, and feel for the anterior superior iliac spine with your index finger.
The middle finger then slides across to make a peace-sign pointing up to the iliac crest.
The injection site is in the middle of this peace-sign.
Wipe site with alco-wipe in a circular motion and allow to dry.
Use your peace sign to spread skin taut.
Insert needle at 90 degree angle. Take care as you are inserting needle in proximity to your fingers."
I have never aspirated since I started injecting in 1992.

Every description for location of the VG site describes using a caregiver's hands, such as figure 3-2 posted here. I am self administering and while the illustrations provide the concept they do not provide a useful location method except for caregivers. Does anybody have locations that are specifically for self injection?

If you slightly pick up your leg you will feel the muscle get hard right below your hip bone and slightly to the back. That's where you inject.

Thank you for your reply but I'm still unsure. The nurse at the clinic had me do my first injection. His instruction was "put my finger on my hip (I believe it to be the protrusion of the top of femur) and then shift several inches to the rear." I did that and he said that I was correct but it still feels quite imprecise. Vince, I tried what you said but no matter what direction I move my leg I feel no significant muscle tensing, like I do with my mid-thigh's top side, which is where I have inject with confidence. I don't like injecting into the thigh because of soreness on days 2 & 3 after injection.

You could just inject in your shoulder.
