Being on trt cause insulin sensitivity etc?

Hello everyone. I've been concerned for the last 4 or so months with the development of gaining weight at the top of my stomach. I'm not a heavyset individual and never had this problem prior to trt. It was sudden in development. It's like I have a bowling ball ( slight exaggeration) at the top just below my chest, and I'm concerned.
The things thst come to mind are insulin sensitivity, diabetes, or thyroid. As I see this condition with obese men. I don't drink alcohol either.

I'm gonna call doc office and ask about metformin, but I'm concerned with losing muscle mass/size strength, as I've made some good increase. I don't want my hgh to lower.

Any input would help, as I have no clue what is the culprit.

I don't have many thoughts but you could get your A1C checked.

The A1C test is a blood test that provides information about a person's average levels of blood glucose, also called blood sugar, over the past 3 months. The A1C test is sometimes called the hemoglobin A1c, HbA1c, or glycohemoglobin test.
