Hello Everyone,
I started TRT about 2 months ago and did my follow up labs last week. I think the levels look good but for some reason I'm not feeling any different than before TRT. I'm still tired all day, find it difficult to lose weight even with proper diet and working out with a trainer 4 days a week. I've been able to lose 10 lbs in the last 2 months. Libido isn't as active as I would like and no signs of morning wood yet.
I am 33 yrs old, 5'7, 260 lbs. I am currently on TestCyp 100mg, HCG 1000 u/mg .4mg, Anastrozole .5 mg, and B-12 1ml each twice a week.
I first started doing the Test injections IM for the first two weeks and then switched to SQ. HCG and B12 were also SQ. I found that Test were causing a large red bump under the skin that itched like crazy. My Doc put me on compounded T cream to use to avoid the bumps and claims that the creams work better for libido. I will try it for a while and if I don't like it I will consider the T injections with a different oil.
I've posted my first set of labs before TRT and then the follow up labs from last week.
I'm looking forward to hearing from the members here and ready to learn as much as I can!

Hey CoastWatcher! Thanks for the reply. The timeline was helpful, I guess I have to give it a little more time and hopefully some of the positive effects start to kick in.
I was on 200mg TestCyp a week. I was injecting 100mg on Wednesdays and Sundays. Should I inject more frequently? Also, I was using Anastrozole .5mg twice a week on Wed and Sun too. Doc said to do three times a week which I'll start doing on Mon, Wed, Fri. Good plan?
I took the follow up labs on a Wednesday morning before my T injection in the afternoon.

You pulled your trough numbers, a good thing, but take a look at the results. Your peak values, across the board, are likely to much, much higher. Two hundred milligrams a week is very near the top dose that is typically seen here. I inject 120mg, 60mg twice a week, and have a total test of 1055 and an estradiol value sitting at 29.

I wonder if you need 200 mgs weekly, no matter how it is injected. Have you and your doctor discussed a lower dose? You are quite likely to achieve nice, healthy testosterone (total and free) and have no need of an AI. How did you arrive at the figure of 200mg/weekly?

Nope. The doc and I haven't discussed reducing the dose. He basically said that the Free T and Total T were where we wanted it and to increase the AI. I totally see your point and will bring it up with him on Monday. He's not the easiest guy to discuss this with since he feels he's the expert and I should stop reading things on the internet. I've learn more from these forums in a day than I did from all the urologist, anti-aging, and weight loss clincs I've been to in the last year.
The TestCyp vial is 200 MG/ML and directions are 0.5ml (100mg) twice a week. I will see how the conversation goes with the doc on Monday and then try to do 50mg twice a week and do follow up labs from DiscountedLabs in 6 weeks. Hopefully this will help with elevated E.

Your hematocrit is climbing close to the point where it presents a challenge. You're not there yet, but if it tops the range you will need to undergo a therapeutic phlebotomy. Just keep an eye on that value. It's important. Most guys on TRT want HIGHER doses, you want a lower dose? What is the problem? Do you inject yourself?

Will keep an eye on hematocrit. Local donation center isn't far and will definitely donate if necessary. I'm not sure if I misunderstood your post regarding the TestCyp dosage. I do inject but having trouble with not getting any of the effects possibly because of the high E. You mentioned that my current dosage was on the high side and blood results show the same. I thought you were suggesting to talk to the doc about lowering the dose to maintain decent levels but to lower the E as well.

I'm sorry if I was unclear. I was asking if you actually perform the injection, or does your doctor? You did grasp my point, though. I wonderd if injecting 50mg every three point five days (100mg a week) would help you achieve the full benefits of TRT without an AI.

My 2 cents, I wouldn't inject more than 50-60mg at one time as the chance for some being excess and converted to estrogen is much more likely. 100mg at one time is a rather large dose. You're E2 is high on .5mg 2x a week so something is wrong and i bet ya a Coke its 100mg is too much in a single dose.
I also take 200mg a week, but I split it EOD @ 50mg, and I am not on any AI with no Estrogen symptoms. I do this because of my low SHBG but the results are proven, for me. I wanted desperately of AI and I did it.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I am feeling better already on the lower doses more frequently. After dosing more frequently with lower amounts when would be a good time frame to have follow up labs done again to check E levels? I was thinking about 6 wks.

Six weeks is a good benchmark to use when testing a new protocol.
