Super Moderator

Andrew Vickers, PhD, Professor of Healthcare Policy and Research at Weill Cornell Medical College and member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in New York, NY, delivers a nine-minute presentation on the need for reforming the Gleason score. He suggests that replacing the Gleason score with an evidence-based approach to pattern 4 quantification could significantly improve prostate cancer care, impacting tens of thousands of patients annually.

This lecture was presented at the 8th Global Summit on Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Prostate Cancer. The Annual Global Summit is a unique multi-disciplinary forum, bringing together the key international opinion leaders and shaping the state of the art and future vision for patient care. The goal of this event is two-fold: 1) To inform the key health care stakeholders about emerging advances in clinical care and research; and 2) To facilitate a multi-disciplinary consensus on the best emerging clinical practices and research priorities. Please save the dates for the next annual event, taking place on September 15-17, 2025: 9th Global Summit on Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Prostate Cancer.
