I'm trying to find this answer on google and the forums but someone told me that with subcutaneous inject you can't inject too much liquid / test because it'll bubble up will .5cc of test be too much for sub-q in 1 injection? thanks

.5 ml will be fine when injecting sub-q.

Some have issues injecting sub-q and get a bad reaction resulting in a lump, pain/swelling which can be more prone to happening when injecting large volumes or injecting too fast.

Mind you everyone is different and some even experience negative issues when injecting lower volumes and end up switching to i.m.

When I first started trt I was injecting Depo-Testosterone (cypionate) which in Canada only comes in 10 ml vial at 100mg/ml strength, so I was injecting sub-q into abdominal fat 1 ml (100 mg) once weekly using an 1 ml insulin syringe 28 gauge 1/2 inch.

Never once did I have a bad reaction!

My protocol for the last 18 months:

Delatestryl (enanthate) 5 ml vial comes in 200mg/ml strength

I inject sub-q abdominal fat, 150mg/week (75mg every 3.5 days)

Using a 1ml 28 gauge 1/2 inch insulin syringe, so I inject .375 ml every 3.5 days.

thanks for the replies this is most helpful, I only spoke to someone I know who says they do sub-q but he injects everyday very small amounts max he said to inject was .3cc.

I only started self injecting test cyp this week monday was my first injection, I injected .5cc into my left shoulder / deltoid following Nelsons video with a 27 gauge 1/2 inch needle, I didn't even feel the needle go in I felt slight discomfort when pushing in the liquid, everything seem to go smoothly I even went to the gym right after the injection, but after I showered and about 1-2 hours later I noticed my shoulder was very sore I thought I hit a nerve or hit a vein, but after about 3 more hours the pain went away and it's fine, just wondering if pain in the injection area is normal like that?

I think I may try sub-q injection after my next injection in my other shoulder this week, since I play to do .5cc a week twice a week, I have read that sub-q has no post soreness/pain after injection, not sure if I injected wrong, but i'm open to inject sub-q or I might have to try IM shot in my glutes next

I also got a lump from SubQ. Many people do great on SubQ and do not get the lump.

Oh so a lump on the belly seems to be common, I think that's what my friend was talking about, is the lump painful and is it noticeable?
