So why look at this test? There's one test to be used every other is wrong/for females...was there something different you were looking for with this one?

Well it says it’s a male test.
Just been really sick for along time with unbelievable fatigue, soreness, weakness, brain fog and etc...
We can’t figure out what’s wrong after so many things ruled out and nothings really left other than Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Don’t want that cuz there’s no way out of that. Just hoping maybe I can find something such as high E2 as my reason for being so sick.

That E2 level will cause some men issues, the symptoms you're reporting fit perfectly with high E2 even if testosterone is fine.

I tell ya what Ive been running and if you want to get yet another viewpoint on E, its a "Estradiol, Free"...Ive been running this along with the (Ultra) Sensitive LC/MS/MS which you know is what we tend to harp on as being the one true test for men.

Thanks guys. Maybe thats my issue.
My total t is only decent but my free T is above range. Haven’t got SHGB results yet. They used to be about 22 on a 10-61 scale. Maybe my free E is very high then. I’m probably going to have to get that checked.
How bad can you actually feel on high E? I feel unbelievably awful. Can’t really do anything and barely get through work. Getting close to bedridden. That’s why we are thinking Chronic Fatigue Syndrome because it’s thst bad. Been checked for Lymes, MS, diabetes, Cushings, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea and etc... some pretty serious stuff. Sure would like to find something.
Thanks again

Thank you.
Don’t have numbers on me but pretty much can explain. TSH is about 2.00. T4 is bottom of range like .7 where .7 is bottom. T3 is bottom 1/3. Reverse T3 is low and so are antibodies. Close to hypothyroidism but I always have been and was always healthy.
And yes, my symptoms are totally hypothyroid but numbers have not changed.
Thanks again.

Sounds like you have thyroidism, I just started on synthetic T3. Here's my thread.
can cytomel by itself be used to treat hypothyroidism

Thanks a lot Vince. I vaguely checked out your thread. Will look into more of it and research. This is the kind of stuff I need for hope.
Thanks again.

A bit of what you describe feeling I might concur that it's something else though the E is a problem and perhaps needs to come down. Something we're starting to understand for low SHBG is that it = very high Free T in turn = very high free Estrogens and that the low SHBG may need to run a much lower LC/MS/MS score that we previously thought.

Hi Anton. I don’t know. It just says something about male range. It’s probably standard. A couple months ago on a standard test I was at 42 on a scale of 8-43. Same dose of t also. My total T was 777 and free t was 25.6 on a scale of 5-15.6 or something like that.
Im waiting for SHGB now along with total and free t as well. After that ill see what endo thinks. If my free t is high maybe my free E2 is too. I’m kind of doubtful my severe symptoms are because of somewhat elevated E2 though but I don’t know.
Also my primary tested me for MTHFR gene mutation. Don’t know the results or if that’s a possibility either.
All I know is I’m really sick for a long time.
Thanks again guys.

Right. This is probably gonna be non estrodial related but just want to make sure because I’m out of everything except chronic fatigue syndrome it appears, can’t beat or fix that.
I’m just getting worse as time goes on. Missing a lot of work now. Life is gone. Never leave the house.

How long ago did you have the thyroid labs ran? They can change pretty quick. If you have exact numbers and ranges along with dates we have some pretty good experts here that can advise you. Reverse T3 would be interesting given your symptoms. In range doesn’t mean much.
