3 month TRT blood work. Is LH level necessary?

So I started TRT 3 months ago. 120 mg test weekly. 500iu HCG twice a week. The clinic just ordered follow up labs. Testosterone free and total, E2 and LH levels are being checked. I've been told LH levels is a waste of money being the testosterone has more than likely shut down production. Is there any truth to this? Or would the HCG still make LH detectable?

You need more testing than that. Sensitive E2 is a must.

LH is fine to check the first time you have a follow up just to make sure.

hCG has nothing to do with LH level. hCG does not increase LH in anyway.
