Guys, started using a 1cc syringe and noticed quite a bit of T staying in the syringe. Unlike the 3cc plunger that has that cone shape, the 1cc plunger is flat. Any advice on how to get it all out?

With the insulin syringe there is actually less wasted than a 3cc or 1cc luer lock about .05cc because of the luer lock hub on the syringe.

My BD 1cc 30ga 1/2" insulin syringe has a flat plunger that meets with a flat surface is yours different?
mine is like the one on the left
I wouldn't recommend the the style on the right as the needle isn't that secure it's only pressed on and with the higher pressure from thicker oil it spells disaster

That's what I left behind, .05cc. I have a flat plunger on my 1cc as well, but somehow it's leaving some in the syringe. Never had that problem with the 3cc. Thinking of popping my 27g 1/2 inch needle on a 3cc syringe next time to see if any gets left in the syringe.

I used the one on the right, twice without incident other than the cyp left in the syringe. But it can pop off easy if you're not careful. Does the needle detach on the one on the left?

You must have the luer lock 1cc otherwise you would not be able to change the needle I would recommend using 1cc insulin syringe like the one on the left in the picture.
no the needle does not detach on the one on the left

I'm not a DR. and I wouldn't personally recommend this but some leave a small air bumble about .04cc worth in the syringe let it float to the plunger and inject leaving the .04cc of air left in the hub

That's an advanced technique I'll leave to the pros.
