Hi everyone
started TRT 1 week ago. Started off on a topical cream of 200mg, only doing one click every morning so this is 50mg I believe. So far my experience has been

  • feeling a little out of sorts
  • anxiety
  • lower libido
  • erections not as good when having sex
  • headaches
  • I have read different things
  • from this being normal until your body adjusts
  • give it 3-4 weeks
  • Some people have this reaction to creams and should try ciponate shots instead
looking for opinions

Thanks

A week of TRT is a blip on the timeline - it's a marathon you've entered and not a sprint. That said, topical applications of testosterone fail for a good many men, though that's seen more often in gels as opposed to compounded creams. You may have simply shut down your endogenous production of testosterone with the application of the cream, and you're now feeling the results of hypogonadism in a more profound manner. Testing will tell the story and your doctor may adjust the amount of cream you apply or transition you to shots.

Not a big fan of topicals, but not sure what you were expecting in a week. In bold is more in line with what you'll wanna do, and or, results of your follow up labs.

I think CW nailed it. Any natural T has been shutdown and you are just running on the cream. One click is pretty conservative. I recently changed TRT doctors and was put on one click of 200mg/ml My followup blood test came back TT300 FT 11 Since my natural production was ~260 I did not experience your symptoms. You Doc should let you get a followup bloodtest in 5-6 weeks.

Good luck give this some time.
