Post Testosterone Enanthate Pain-Soreness

I had my second shot of 400mg of Test E from my urologist in my glute, and I have to admit, I can barely sit down. The first shot was sore for about 2-3 days, and now im on the 2nd day of my 2nd shot and I'm experiencing the same amount of soreness. Both shots went into the same glute area and I thought it would get better the second time around. These shots were done 3 weeks apart.

Are there any common things to go post the injection that might help? I mean im not dying, but it is definitely a huge annoyance.

I am on Test E because I had an allergic reaction to Androderm, so my doctor wanted to try Test E instead of Test Cyp (which I heard is much more foregiving as far as soreness)

Where do you live? 3 week apart injections doesn't sound fun and will give you way more side effects. but like Vince said make sure your muscle is relaxed and you don't have weight on it. I always imagine a rubber band, a stretched rubber band will be more likely to rip if you poke a hole in it vs if it were relaxed

You are on a horrible protocol that is decades out of date. Injections once every 3 weeks??? State of the art TRT is injections every 3.5 days or more often. Ask your doctor how something with an effective half-life of around 6-7 days is supposed to work for 3 weeks? Better yet, ask if you can do your own injections twice weekly.

I agree when I read 3 weeks apart it actually made me cringe. Please make sure your hematocrit, RBC, estrogen sensitive, and other important blood work is being monitored.

Live in New York, I am going to be changing doctors as he clearly doesn't know what he is doing. He basically said, why would you want to do a weekly injection, that means you'd rather inject yourself 52 times vs a little under 20? I got him down to every 2 weeks, but like I said I am going to a new doctor in May (earliest he had an opening).

Billy,

Your Urologist is a clueless idiot when it comes to modern TRT. I'd like to inject him in the glute with 400mg of test with a 1 1/2"/18ga needle, and see if he isn't walking around like Festus on "Gunsmoke" for a few days afterwards.

I mean seriously...what doctor that possesses any knowledge of modern TRT would do that to a patient? It's substandard medical care at best...some guys would call it malpractice. What's he going to suggest next...pellet implants?

You need to put this medical professional in the rear view mirror ASAP, and call Defy Medical. They will get you squared away.

I think there's another thread we've been working on with you Billy? It probably would have been best to just keep it there, since there's already comments noted on your protocol ...

I agree with Jackie, the guy you are dealing with should be behind bars! He has no idea what he's doing, thus he probably stuck a 18g or 16g right into the center of your arse! Upper right quadrant is best, almost more towards the hip. 27g x 1 work for me, or better yet 27g x 5/8 into the lower/outer thigh.

Don't know what to say, you were given good advise on the other thread not to go back to this guy.

LOL, that is a classic. I think you're being generous with only a 18G. They use 16g at my blood bank, those effing things will drop a whale!!

Not to hijack this thread, but on the topic of blood donations and the 16 gauge needles they use...Pro Tip: If someone at the Red Cross asks you if you would be willing to let a trainee tap your vein under the watchful eye of a more experienced Phlebotomist, just back away slowly and don't make eye contact. After having my vein missed twice, my ARM hurt enough to make me walk like Festus...

If that's happens, I'll just hand them a hacksaw blade and tell them to use it instead! :)

I don't let trainees poke me, they can practice on someone else. A good place to learn is at the plasma center, where you pay people for their plasma.
