Blood Work at 35 weeks of TRT

Interesting...a lot of guys that are insulin resistant are also low SHBG guys and, in general - there is always the exception - they have a hard time with TRT and with adding muscle. 'Course they are not on a real AAS cycle, and they are mostly guys over 40 as well.

Yeah, not sure. I'm insulin resistant and my SHBG is normal. I've also done very well with TRT (not without needing to tweek some things along the way), and put on muscle what I'd call moderately. I don't blow up and get super huge but I can gain size and strength pretty easily it seems.

Like you said, there are exceptions to everything.

Genetics have a lot to do with it as well. Some guys put on muscle relatively easily and for some it is very, very difficult even if they are not the classic ectomorph type.

Yeah, for sure. It's all very individualistic as most of us on this forum can agree. Just look at the variability in TRT response and requirements etc.

I think it's important to understand this HIGH degree of variability, in order to get a handle on each of our individual health issues/progress.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
