Penis smaller after TRT

in my opinion exogenous testosterone can cause a perpetual sympathetic state that restricts bloodflow. Not good for erections.
The sympathetic component tends to inhibit erections, whereas the parasympathetic system is one of several excitatory pathways. During arousal, excitatory signals can originate in the brain, either by the sight or thought of an appealing sexual partner or by physical genital stimulation.

I just posted this as a new post when I, later, stumbled upon this thread. I've noticed that within 20 minutes or so of applying Tcream, my penis turtles up. I initially thought high T, but the cream should add an influx of T over E, at least, during the first few hours, so I am not sure what is going on. However, the correlation is well established with my experiences, so I am really confused about what the cause is.

Interesting theory Neil and I think you are correct, but I know what the OP is talking about. My penis experiences shrinkage on TRT similar to getting into cold water. Often times very significantly. I was proud of my penis and would gladly oblige if a woman desired to reach for it but now I feel somewhat insecure about it and may even recoil from a woman's touch due to its smaller contracted appearance. Plus pde5i are much less effective. This change all happened when TRT was started.
Just started Trt and definitely smaller, no doubt. Like swimming pool shrinkage all the time is the best I can describe it. I’m on .4 ml 2x a week for 1.5 weeks. Noticeable.

TRT doesn't make your penis small in a direct way, what happens is you get less blood flow down there so you have to work on getting dialed in and penis will get back to normal or even bigger due to better blood flow

The testosterone is still building up in your system, so symptoms (benefits) may come and go for the next couple of weeks.

How?
And Cialis and Viagra dont always work well

It's probably mostly estrogen related. When your e2 is messed up even ed drugs do nothing.

I'd suggest trying proviron with trt and maybe doxazosin 1-2mg. I noticed benefits from HCG as well but it's not worth the e2 swings for me. With proviron and doxazosin my flaccid dick is always in "semi" state like I have just taken cialis. I used to take cialis daily but I don't recommend that to anyone anymore as you develop tolerance over years and it literally stops doing anything despite research saying otherwise. Proviron is amazing.

How many mg of Proviron are u taking per day, and do u split that dose and take half am and half pm, or just all at once in the morning?

I'm 80 days in and I have the opposite effect. Always feel it, which is a lot more then pre TRT and always full, so I reckon the blood flow has improved. Labs only next month so can't comment anythig more. Hope it stays this way.

Piss poor advice.

He is only 1.5 weeks in!

Your killing me here.

Bulls**t!

I would put the blame on aging/underlying vascular issues if you are or eventually become a poor responder.

Eventually, most that do not do well on PDE5i will need to use intracavernosal injections such as Trimix to overcome this!

In severe cases of ED, where they do not respond to such therapies the next move would most likely be a penile implant.

Hope that is the case. Either way going to stay on, I’m looking for quality of life not size. Also should say I’m on arimidex as well.

You were started on too high a dose of 160 mg T/week (80 mg every 3.5 days).

This is going to have your trough TT, FT, and estradiol levels very high.

That's why they most likely put you on the AI from the get-go.

Best to always start low and go slow on a T-only protocol.

The most common starting dose is 100 mg T/week.

Lower your dose and drop the AI!

There will always be room to increase your dose down the road if need be.

Much easier going up than coming down!

My advice wasn't for OP only as there seemed to be many others on TRT who noticed shrinkage.

Ageing lol? I am 30 years old and I don't have ED. Viagra still gives the wow effect and makes me pop random boners all the time while cialis does not do absolutely anything anymore as I have developed tolerance after taking it for years. There are many others with similar experience. You definitely develop a tolerance to PDE5 inhibitors.

What's with your attitude, mr know it all? Go take an AI and calm down.

Also, taking proviron is good advice. Fix the androgen to estrogen balance rather than decreasing test or taking needless aromatase inhibitors which are not good for you at all.

25-50mg is totally enough on TRT. Short half life so best to split it AM/PM. A big bonus is it has a noticeable effect on decreasing water retention. They've done research on humans up to 450mg per day so it's a fairly safe compound. 25-50mg should not even have an effect on your lipids if I remember correctly.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
