Blood test timing

I take one injection per week of testosterone cypianate 0.4 cc of 200mg/ml. How many days after the injection should I have blood drawn to test hormone levels since the concentration decline over time?

Hammer, right before you are due to inject, so I inject on monday mornings, I would have my blood draw first.

Vince is right, drawing blood just prior to injection will yield a reliable trough and permit you and your doctor to determine the effectiveness of your protocol. Do you notice feeling less than stellar prior to your injection?

Thanks for your response confirming Vince's reply. No I feel good but despite all my workouts, I'm not losing fat very quickly or gaining muscle despite a decent diet. I'm also hypothyroid and take synthroid. My sleep is horrific as I only get about 2.5 hours of decent sleep according to my Fitbit monitor. I was on Androgel and maintained a T level of about 575 but my DHT level was 12% above range so I switched to the injectable form. I'd like to maintain levels between 800-900. I took injectables a while back but my hematocrit levels were hovering in the 51-53% range. I guess some blood donations will take care of this issue. I also take Arimidex .5 mg twice per week and am wondering if there is an optimal time to take the AI? I appreciate all the input as some of these questions seem a bit mysterious to my primary care doc.

Can you post any/all blood work (along with ranges per the lab)? There are members/moderators here who can really help you focus in on your situation if you provide the data.

Will post March results while on test cream which was a bit better than Androgel in terms of DHT elevation. Will post blood tests when I figure out how to attach a pdf.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
