Most of us wind up here because of struggles of one sort or another. I thought it might be useful to start a thread based purely on success stories. If this already exists, please disregard.

Are you doing awesome? If so, please share your protocol and how long you have been doing awesome. @Systemlord, I can already hear you typing! ;)

Cheers

I haven’t had any problems with trt. My doctor is pissed I’m off antidepressants but. Guess if I can find the real reason behind my problem I had without the help of a qualified doctor it’s always going to upset them.
Only took me 6 years to finally find my problem. Fixed it in a couple of months. Weaned off ssri and now I don’t have them withdrawals every day when the medication is due.

May 2019 was given a script. Been happy and hard ever since.

Loving having to stick something in my ass twice a week

I don’t do anal shots .just a joke

11 weeks off TRT and 7 weeks off hCG. Still haven't fully restarted the hpta based on feelz but exercise intolerance and nighttime heart racing mich improved. I actually sleep for more than 4 hours at a time.

I remember when I really wanted to try TRT and over 4 years later I tell myself be careful what you wish for.

Fortunately I listened to a new cardiologist who has a good attitude on all this.

Good thread. Thanks for starting.

I been on TRT for just under seven and a half years now. Every protocol has worked great for me. The only issue I had was HCT for the first two years. I donated blood every 8 weeks. That's when I started daily injections, haven't needed to donate any blood since starting dailies. Zero issues feel great mentally and physically.

I'm sure the blood bank has missed me. Their loss is my gain.

i would say for the most part I’m doing awesome. Coming up on one year on TRT and there has been a lot more positive than negative. Crushing it in the gym. Body looks better than ever. Energy levels and focus are good. Motivated to do a lot more than I was in the past. Sex drive is good-great depending on circumstances. Negatives have been occasional increase in anxiety and occasional bouts of interrupted sleep. The anxiety is more from life, though TRT does magnify it to some extent if I don’t work to fight it when I feel it coming on. Have gotten pretty good about it now though. I’ve also noticed that alcohol(and especially a hangover) can set it off a lot. And for the past few years before my journey I was starting to become more likely to deal with depression when hungover, and that’s one thing TRT didn’t seem to help with. The obvious answer is to not drink, or at least not drink as much which I’m usually really good about.

Current protocol is 102 mg/week divided into 3 shots M/W/S along with 800 ius of HCG divided into 2 shots Tues. & Fri. Started out at 120 mg/week and dialed in there with little to no issues. Only dropped it down because I added HCG a few months into my journey due to reduced orgasm intensity and to a lesser extent atrophy. Never bumped it back up because the current protocol keeps me towards the top of the range and I feel good.

I've been on trt since 2016. I had gone down a deep rabbit hole of hypogonadism. It changed my personality and physical appearance.
After three months of trt, my wife grabbed me and started crying saying, "I'm getting my husband back!"
I had minor issues with hct which has stabilized.
Overall... yes awesome (compared to the soft anhedonic blob that I'd become)!

I had problems with TRT a couple of years ago, but at the moment I'm healthy as an ox and I try to stick to a healthy lifestyle. How wonderful to feel like a real man! Ha ha

I started TRT 6 years ago, I have been struggling from time to time to get off it because when I feel this good, I don't want TRT either, thinking I'll be fine without it.
Now I am struggling for fertility again at 53 years old. The thing is, my wife left me a couple of years ago, and one of the reasons mentioned was that she couldn't deal with my libido on TRT (Of course thats not the whole story, there is much more about that sad marital separation).
Then a very young and beautiful woman of 28 y/o (now 30) fell in love with me and she was upset to find out my real age, she couldn't believe it but she was already with me and stayed, she seems to be very happy today and we want children.
She sees my photos before TRT and confesses that she would never have looked at me if she had found me before TRT.
My physical appearance has changed a lot with TRT, now I look much more energetic, young and athletic... (even not going to gym, I am much more muscular and lean)

great story. What is your current protocol?
I have been experimenting and changing protocol over the years, I found my best protocol to be about 80 mg testosterone cypinate once a week plus HCG 260 IU twice a week.
At this right moment I am not doing so well cause I changed to HCG monotherapy seeking for fertility.
Libido has decreased a lot and erections deteriorated so now I am using cialis and/or viagra more often (5 mg cialis, 25 - 50 mg viagra).

I was on 520 IU of HCG 3 times a week till last week, had some labs and started 1040 IU HCG 3x week. From yersterday Im starting to feel much more libido on 1040 IU, but still early to say...
You can see my numbers on 520 IU HCG 3xweek here:
Got labs results...
protocol: HCG (Ovitrelle) 520 IU M-W-F (two weeks before, I was taking proviron and tamoxifen)

Total Testosterone: 584 ng/dl
Free Testosterone: 13,00 pg/ml (5.60 - 27)
DHT: 0,48 ng/ml (0,143 - 0,842)

E2 37 pg/ml (not sensitive, but since it over-estimate E2, actual E2 could be lower than 37 pg/ml)

LH - 0,10 mIU/ml (0.4 - 82)
FSH : 0,15 mIU/ml (1.30 - 138)

SHBG: 22,9 nmol/L (13,5 - 71,4)

Cholesterol: 166 mg/dl (<200)
HDL: 45 mg/dl (>40)
LDL: 96 mg/dl (< 150)
TG: 125 (40 - 150)

HB - 16,4 g/dl
Hcto: 49,1%

----------------
Even having had lower T levels and higher E2, with exogenous testosterone I used to have much stronger libido and I need much less or no cialis or viagra.
There must be something else with HCG, other than just testosterone and E2 levels which interferes with libido and erectile function. Otherwise HCG would be more successful as monotherapy, but it isn't. Few people can stick on it...
On the other hand, apart from the low libido and poor erectil funtion on HCG, I feel mentally and physically very well with HCG.

Now I doubled HCG (Ovitrelle) dose to 1040 IU M-W-F. I'll stay free of everything else, especially anastrozole or any other kind of E2 control. Only will be using Sildenafilo as when needed (not even daily cialis), and I will have lab test again in one month and see how it is by then..

I am doing absolutely AWSOME. As I mentioned I am probably an unusual case because I am on TRT ONLY because I completely shut down my system from years of use as an athlete and have gotten tired of going the UG route after I was alible for Medicare. Using testosterone make me feel "normal." I knew a long time ago that I would be using this drug for the rest of my life and I have no problem with it.

I'm almost 1 year on TRT and had a few bumps along the way. It seems every time I check my SHBG, it's higher (@18, previously 11 pre-TRT). I'm on Jatenzo at 237 mg twice daily.

I'm do for another phlebotomy May 3rd because my HCT gets high at 57% and hemoglobin 19.2 and will be getting phlebotomies every month starting in May.

I checked my glucose 8 hours after a meal and got 109.
