Wife's Blood Work

The wife finally decided to go get some blood work done. She had put on some weight and was not able to drop it like she typically has done in the past. She has also been feeling extremely tired and fatigued. Sex drive had gone down, and I noticed things were not as wet as usual when we were intimate.

Doctor recommended putting on her thyroid medicine and 20mg of Test C every 2 weeks. Can you all please look at the results and let me know what you think. I asked the doc why not 10mg every week. He said because women try and get rid of testosterone quicker than men do, so that it might start causing side effects

Since she is a woman, you might consider testing her DHEA and then supplementing with that. I gave my wife DHEA 3 x a week, and her T level went (aprox 30%) over the range max in a month, had to drop her to 50mg 1 x week.

I'd go along with the DHEA route, I hear that that does work different in females than males at raising T levels. I concur that she needs some manner and level of Thyroid therapy.

She has low thyroid hormone levels (hypo). Her adrenals (cortisol & DHEA) should be tested, as should iron, ferritin & B12 before jumping on any thyroid treatment. Would also be good to note the other antibody test, TgAb, along with the Reverse T3 lab.

Presume she was in the luteal phase of her cycle at the time of labs? Any changes in the frequency of her cycles? Family history of any early peri/menopause? I don't agree with your doctor's rationale on administering test every two (2) weeks, but that's just me.
