Where Things Stand

Interesting my regular doc gave me a prescription a while back and it just renews, but I haven't been getting them. For me they are free because we max out our deductible early in the year, but you only get 6 at a time. I think my dosage is 25mg but I'll check as apparently after my yearly checkup he auto-approved all of the scripts and one is waiting for me. Obviously the insurance company might grumble if I were getting enough for workouts. There is always SecureTabs. Although I take Lisinopril HTCZ I think it is my blood pressure was 110/60. My Cardura/Doxazosin had run out for about 5 days so I know it wasn't responsible. Between the Lisinopril, my L-Citrulline, and liquid tadalafil, plus a good hard 1 hour walk 5 days per week BP was good.

I've lost 20 lbs. over 4-5 weeks. Too many variables added to know why. I started taking my adderall which I'd dropped completely when I felt it was causing ED. Interestingly after probably close to a year??? taking the Nitric Oxide stack adderall is no longer affecting my penis or prostrate as I used to piss a little funny too. But it kills appetite and makes me sharper. I don't like taking it, but damn as a Software Engineer I am so much more mentally sharp. I was in a fog every day. Also kicks my ass to get to the gym. I really think that adderall is the major reason. but I added strict low-carb back, Lipo-C, DHEA (which is a not a good product per Dr. Saya). Lost 2 Belt loops which is nice. Occasionally I stall when low-carbing and actually seemed to start that way until adderall was mized in. It can't be good for me but I would love to lean out, plus it's practically free.

Thursday I beat my 6'5' 19 year old son and his girlfriend (a baller) in a pickup basketball game of 21 the other day. I'm at 260 lbs and still no real explosive jump, but I'm thinking of adding back low-carb protein and getting back on the weight training. Part of me says the Test is keeping my muscle so just continue the brisk walk and lose more fat first. I beat the kids simply on skill and smarts but my son must have blocked my shot 5-6 times. Luckily he was all baseball and tends to miss driving to the hoop which is why I beat him, but with just a little cardio and explosiveness I can do better.

I'm 47.5 which isn't helping but reluctant to add sprints/HIIT because I'm losing fat right now and don't want to risk a gimpy hamstring which happened last time and I was around 245. I'm 6'1 - 260, and due to upper body gains carry it well enough to be "handsome" to most women my age, but really think that 195-200 would be ideal to start playing hoops and such and possibly open the doors to a wider age range of ladies haha... By playing I mean playing in leagues or pickup games. I know guys our age often rip an achilles playing basketball but I'm hoping my 320 or so deadlift, and daily calf/Achilles stretching holds it off. Who knows though Kobe was beastly in shape and blew his out.

Sorry for the thread killer here this site is my only outlet as I have no local buddies on TRT and get carried away haha. Vince's size is where I need to be though I'm probably much bigger in the arms/back/shoulders, but I mean that total lack of visible visceral fat. I assume at a leaned body I won't be 160 again as a HS athlete because my structure changed after HS. But I really have absolutely no idea what a pure lean would be. (My high was 320 about 3 years ago). So my guess is anywhere from 195-215. But until I get there I don't know.

Did I understand you to write that "DHEA...not a good product per Dr. Saya"? If that's what you meant I am puzzled as there are multiple posts from other patients where they discuss which type of DHEA he suggested they use.

I'm sure he is referring to "he was taking an OTC DHEA product" that I "called a bad product" as it likely was not improving his DHEA-S levels...but midlife can elaborate further!

Sorry I think I meant the actual product I'm using was probably not that good. I had posted elsewhere that at my bodyweight the article Gene posted recommended 100mg but others chimed in and said it was still too much. Dr. Saya simply said there is a good chance I'm not getting the full dose anyway so it's probably fine. The point was to lower my dose.
