Where have posts and threads dissappeared to?

I posted several replies to threads and sent a private message to a member yesterday afternoon. These posts and one of the threads, and the message (plus apparently most posts and threads for most of the day) have disappeared. That and the disappearing links in posts, What is going on with this forum lately?

It is frustrating to take the time to write responses and then have them dissappear.

Running a website is not always easy. Sometimes glitches occur that turn out to be a major pain in the butt for site administrators.

I apologize.

We had a bad thing happen to the site the night before last. All links were removed due to a faulty add-on set up. We had to restore the site to the last back up which was on Monday at 10:30 pm, so all posts of yesterday got lost (I spend 3 hours yesterday myself posting and answering questions). This has never happened before and I had to let go of my maintenance guy. I am now looking for someone new that knows Xenforo 2 well.
