Whats the ideal interval between TRT injections?

My doctor is willing to write my Depo Test RX for a lower dose twice per week, likely every 5 days to coincide with another IV medicaiton I take unlrelated to hypogandism which would be easier to remember and perhaps help with peaks/lows. She asked if there is a peer reviewed reference for this approach before doing so. Does anyone have a citation?

Most men on TTh are injecting 100-200 mg T/week whether once weekly or split into more frequent injections as in twice-weekly (every 3.5 days), M/W/F, EOD or daily.

The majority of men can easily achieve a healthy/high trough FT injecting 100-150 mg T/week especially when split into more frequent injections.

Yes there are those outliers who will need the higher-end dose 200 mg/week but it is far from common as in rare.

Some men can achieve robust levels injecting <100 mg T/week especially when split into more frequent injections.

There is no ideal injection frequency as it comes down to the individual.

Trial and error.

The main difference here when injecting once weekly is there will be a big difference between the peak--->trough especially when injecting strictly IM and blood levels will not be as stable throughout the week.

For some this can easily have a negative impact on mood, energy, libido, erectile function and recovery.

Others tend to enjoy the rollercoaster effect.

Splitting the weekly dose and injecting more frequently will clip the peak--->trough and blood levels will be more stable throughout the week.

Due to the PK of TC you can easily get away with injecting once every 5 days.

What is critical here is using a high enough dose which will allow you to achieve a healthy trough FT!

Even then you re still going to see a big difference between peak--->trough.

You would most likely fare better injecting twice-weekly.

Do what you feel is best for you!

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
