Dr. Aguh was recently featured in a NY Times article discussing the use of oral minoxidil to treat androgenetic alopecia also known as male/female pattern thinning. Here, she goes into more detail about its benefits.
 
 
So is .625 mg the recommended dose? I see on Goodrx that the generic version's lowest tablet is 2.5mg. So split into quarters...I'm guessing that's how .625 mg became the off label dose?

*Evidence suggests that women require lower doses, from 0.25 to 2.5 mg/ day, whereas men require from 2.5 to 5 mg/day for maximal efficacy
