Below are my 6 week updated bloodwork results on TRT @ 140mg Test Cyp total per week & 80 units of hcg total per week. Twice per week injections.

Total Test - 467

Free Test - 19.8

E2 Sensitive - 17.3

I got my dosage upped with the nurse I seen this past Friday.

Upped my dosages to 180mg Test Cyp total per week & 100 units of hcg total per week. Twice per week injections.

Did my first injection at this new dosage today. Will do follow up bloodwork in 6 weeks.

I've read that 200mg is the max testosterone dose that docs will prescribe for trt.

Since the initial dose barely moved my levels what happens if I get up to the max trt dosage & my levels are still low?

I'm generally curious as I haven't come across this in my research.

What is dosing schedule? Once a week, twice a week, EOD, etc.?

If you are only dosing once or twice a week, you might try every other day or every day.

I am sure others with more knowledge and advice will respond.

I would bet that 180 per week will get your levels up pretty good. Did you get any symptom relief on the 140 mg dose? You could bump up your hcg dose as well seems kind of low compared to what others get.

They bumped the hcG up to 100 units a week from 80 units.

No symptom relief at all yet.

Literally feel nothing from it.

If 140mg test only raises my test 200 points will just 40 more mg really raise it that much more?

You might give every other day or every day a try.

Again, I am sure others will chime in with other advice.

I know SHBG plays a major part in determining the frequency of injections. With mine being right in the middle range I think twice a week is a good setup from everything I’ve read and what I recall the Dr saying.

You're right about your shbg as most people in that range administer twice per week. It may just take more time. A couple of years ago my low t clinic bumped me from 140mg to 200 mg weekly because they said I was using more testosterone. I recall feeling just ok but not good around that time period. I think my total t came back around 550 but I forgot what my free t was. They suggested 180mg to 200 mg and we decided to go with 200. Felt awesome afterwards.

What was your levels going going from 140 to 200?

Went from total t of around 550 all the way up to and past 1500. But it became problematic because of e2. That's when I switched doctor's and titrated down. I'm now back to 140 for over a year now. Liking it.

I really think if you move to EOD dosing that it will raise your numbers.
It will give you a higher average level of T in your system.

Not sure if your doctor knows TRT, but a lot of them do not. So taking matters into your own hands sometimes is the best coarse of action.

Remember....no one cares about your health as much as you do.

I wonder if you're injecting the right amount of testosterone. That is a very low dose of HCG, any thoughts of increasing it to 500 IU twice a week.

I thought the same thing Vince. And if he is secondary, that might give him a little boot as well.

He will just need to keep an eye on his E2

Does units = IU?

For example does 50 units = 500 IU?

When I take 50 units of hcG that is a full insulin syringe.

@Vince I feel confident I’m taking the correct dosages. I use a 1cc syringe for the testosterone. Was drawing 0.35 when I was taking 70mg per injection.

Now with the 90mg I’m drawing to the 0.45 mark.

Also I’m running out of testosterone right about the time I’m suppose too.

Also I’m doing TRT through Defy

Wouldn’t worry about it. Docs prescribe more when it’s warranted. That 200 is just a general rule, and it’s really just a consensus on here. Not everyone agrees, including some doctors.

Both of these put my mind at ease.

I was thinking just adding 40 more mg of test would only raise my t up about 50-75 pts based on what the 140 did.

Good to know it doesn’t work like that.

Was worried I would hit the 200mg mark and be stuck in the 600 range and they be like that’s the best we can do.

Sounds like a good dose. Some of the nomenclature used here like iu' s cc's etc can get confusing, especially for me.
