Weight gain/bloat day of injection

Has anyone experienced this?

I always get a big influx of weight 3-4 lbs from morning to night when I take the injection in the morning. In other days I see a 1-2 lbs increase.

I’m taking 40mg every Mon/thurs however I had the same issue when I was taking 25mg M/W/F.

I know this is only temporary but injection day and the day after is 4 days a week where I’m carrying unnecessary weight and looking puffy.

Is this a spike in E2 with the shot? I don’t think so as I did my shot on Monday AM and got my E2 checked in the eve and it was 38.

Is this an issue with aldosterone? Should I supplement with potassium when I take the shot to help with this?

Any help would be great, feel like I’m finally getting dialled in but this is the last side that is really bothering me.

Incase any questions about diet. Today was a very typical day and was:

Breakfast: 1 mango, 2 kiwi fruit, 1 peach
13k lunch time run
Lunch 250g chicken, 200g white rice, broccoli
Dinner: not had this at time of weighing myself but this will be 250g chicken and 200g white rice.
Drank 4-5 liters of water

TRT can I cause water retention. Some members do use a diuretic. I believe Nelson is one of them.

It’s unlikely to be estrogen related. Testosterone increases aldosterone produced in adrenal glands, which enters the kidneys, and tells the kidneys to absorb more sodium and sodium, carries water.

This leads to fluid retention. Many confuse this with high estrogen, which helps with increases muscle mass and decreases in fat mass.

If it doesn’t resolve in a few months, you’ll need to inject smaller doses, more frequently to reduce the hormonal spikes and testosterone influence on the kidneys absorption of sodium.

If I dose the diuretic, should I do this when I take the injection? Also I sweated like a pig earlier, ran in 34 degree heat for 90 mins so should have dropped a ton of water?

Systemlord - I went 25mg 3 times a week but still happened. How do I combat the aldosterone?

You may want to look at this mild potassium-sparing diuretic: amiloride.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
