My issue was that I was only interested in measuring my nocturnal erections (before and after treatment for prostate cancer), not in purchasing a "cock ring." But this device is designed to do both. Although the company assures buyers you can wear it all night without complications, that seems contradictory: if the cock ring function is to retain blood in the penis, why wouldn't it perform that job when you get a nocturnal erection, and thus result in artificially induced priapism?

I couldn't get over the image in my mind of waking up to find my poor penis black and blue from this device's constriction. So never really put it to the test.

I did..but had to take it off in the middle of the night because of pain. Why make claims when this surely does not work for measuring NPT?

Involuntary erections during sleep, also known as nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT), are a normal and natural occurrence in men. This usually happens during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, which is a stage of deep sleep when the brain is very active and dreaming occurs.
NPT is not necessarily an indication of sexual arousal or desire, but rather a normal physiological response. It is a way for the body to maintain penile health and prevent erectile dysfunction. In fact, men who do not experience NPT may be at a higher risk for developing erectile dysfunction.
