It retaining water a common side effect. Does estriol have a direct link to this issue?

Excess estradiol whether induced endogenously or exogenously(trt-through conversion of excess t--->e2) can cause water retention (extracellular) which can increase ones blood pressure. Testosterone can also increase glycogen storage in the muscle cells which will also pull water in the muscle cell as for roughly every gram of glycogen stored up to 3 grams of water is absorbed but is a positive benefit as it can increase muscle size/hydration. It is fairly common for some to gain weight during trt as some will be intracellular water weight and some will be extra cellular but the degree of water weight gain can be extreme in some cases due to excess estradiol. Not everyone on trt experiences issues with excess e2 when using replacement doses of testosterone (physiological range) but it is much more common when one abuses testosterone/aas using higher dosages causing supra-physiological testosterone levels. Genetics also plays a role in excess e2 as some are more prone to aromatization and others not so much.

When I started TRT I gained 10# of what I believe was water weight. It is never in my muscles this water is stored in my skin an esp the stomach fat.
This water weight from the TRT went away on it's own in about 5 weeks. at that time my non sens E2 was 62 so for me a high E2 did not increase my water retension.

The same thing happen to me if I take creatine. Within 10 days I can see a loss of muscle definition do to water being stored in my skin.

What is a good range for E2 levels, for someone on TRT. I have read that 40 -50 is a good range, but my Doctor said mine weren’t that high at 126. But I am getting the blood pressure spikes and water retention. As well, insomnia. My BP spikes to 170/105. My doctor did put me on Arimidex.

In my reading most say the sweet spot for the sensitive E2 is 25 +/-5

James can you post your blood tests. Also how much AI were you prescribed? Too much Ai can really mess you up. I take .125mg EOD
