Vitamin D and male sexual function

Background. The effects of vitamin D on sexual function are very unclear. Therefore, we aimed at evaluating the possible association between vitamin D and sexual function and at assessing the influence of vitamin D administration on sexual function. Methods. We retrospectively studied 114 men by evaluating clinical, biochemical, and sexual parameters. A subsample () was also studied longitudinally before and after vitamin D replacement therapy. Results. In the whole sample, after performing logistic regression models, higher levels of 25(OH) vitamin D were significantly associated with high values of total testosterone and of all the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire parameters. On the other hand, higher levels of total testosterone were positively and significantly associated with high levels of erectile function and IIEF total score. After vitamin D replacement therapy, total and free testosterone increased and erectile function improved, whereas other sexual parameters did not change significantly. At logistic regression analysis, higher levels of vitamin D increase (Δ-) were significantly associated with high values of Δ-erectile function after adjustment for Δ-testosterone. Conclusions. Vitamin D is important for the wellness of male sexual function, and vitamin D administration improves sexual function.

Baskin in the morning sun for about 20 minutes can give you the amount of vitamin D present in a meal rich in the same vitamin. Our skins are naturally made in a way that they can convert a certain UV sun ray into a precursor of vitamin D. It is then taken to the liver where conversion into the actual vitamin D occurs.
So, 20 minutes in the sun + diet correction can help lots of people with ED, if it's connected with vitamin D deficiency.
 
If you live on the earth's equator and out in the sun for 20 minutes a day naked and don't wash off for 8 hours after maybe you would get enough vitamin D.
 
Keeping in mind the old saying everyone is different. My experience with D3 has been a no change in ED.

I am 64 and have had ED for ~8 years.
I started TRTDec 2016 and at the same time started taking PURE brand 5000 D3 daily. I ride a mtn bike 2-3 hours EOD and on warm enough days I go shirtless.
I also maintain a full body tan year round.

Basicly what I am saying is I'm petty sure i am flooded with D3 and it has not effected my ED what so ever.
TRT has also done nothing for my ED. Libido yes ED no.
It really sucks when your T goes too high and your libido goes thru the roof but your equipment fails to work. That place is its own kind of hell.

The only thing that has worked for me is Gene's now Vince's simplified NO stack with 10mg cialis daily.
