Hello:

I'm a user of this forum from Spain. I'm 51. There is a long time I didn't post anything because all was going fine just to the last friday.

First of all I want to give thanks to this forum because here I learnt that it is much better to distribute 250 mg cypionate testosterone in 4 doses at 3.5 days than 250 mg each 14 days that was dose my doctor put me in. That has avoided the swing effect and has mark a very healthy state. My red blood cell count is now ok and also my BHP.

I only see my endocrinologist once a time per year. Last tuesday I had a blood sample and the friday I saw my endo. The AST, ALT, LDH and bilirubin were very high. (AST around 600 U/L). oh my GOD...

My endo was afraid and me too. Tomorrow I will have another blood test.

I think I know where the problem comes from. The sunday before the blood test I was running 10k and possibly I was dehydrated. When I arrived my home I felt little cramps on my quads. No problem, I drank a lot of water and the next day I have stiffness. Now I feel fine, but the problem is that possibly I had an exertional rhabdomyolysis episode that has been detected in the blood test.

I need to say that that the month before (in May) my AST, ALT, LDH levels and bilirubin were perfect.

Of course, I'm afraid because I think my endo is going to reduce my dose a lot. Now and for 5 years ago, I'm taking 250 mg each two weeks.

Tomorrow I will tell here what the doctor would say to me. But I'm very nervous and afraid.

Thanks for reading.

It is very likely that exercise elevated your lab values. The first step when evaluating any test result that has dramatically changed is to undergo a retest.

Yes I know, that's why I will be retested tomorrow. The problem is that only in a week I think my aminotransferase and bilirubin levels are not to going to descent just to its normal values. Perhaps there are needed 15 days to recover normal values. During these days I dude my endo maintain my testosterone dose.

Let's see what happens tomorrow.

I always stop exercising at least 3 days before I do any lab work, can definitely impact your liver values, and Kidney (Creatinine)

Normally I train 5 days per week for 1h at gym and I run one day at weekends 9 km in 1h. I rest only a day.

You can see all my training sessions here:

Never I had problems with my blood tests even training the night before the test.

The problem is that last sunday it was hot and with high humidity and I wasn't enough hydrated when running and I sweated too much. That made me cramps and it was reflected in the blood test in tuesday. I've had bad luck.

Hydration can absolutely show up in your tests...good luck with the retest

haha, I'm drinking lots of water during this weekend and pissing like a source (sorry for this). I expect this will normalize my bad test values. And of course, no training since thursday.

Thanks for the cheering.

There would be no valid reason for your doctor to decrease your cypionate dose as injectable esters of testosterone as well as transdermal have not be shown in the literature to cause any issues related to liver health other than possibly negatively affecting lipids (lowering hdl/increasing ldl) when abused or dose is too high in some individuals. C-17 alpha alkylated oral aas/methyltestosterone are notorious for negatively impacting the liver especially lipids.

Fortunately, all have been resolved happily. My AST, ALT and LDH enzyme levels descended in the four days in which I'have been resting. My endo is a very comprehensive person and he has maintained my dose week of cypionate at 125 mg week.

I know that the useful dose for TRT goes 100-150 mg per week. For me 125 mg is enough.
