Trt options in men with BPH

What was once considered healthy 30 years ago is being redefined today.

There are over 200 chemicals in your body at any given time. These chemicals disrupt the normal function of neurotransmitters, hormones and more. The result is auto immune diseases, weight gain, fatigue, erectile dysfunction, testosterone deficiency, hair loss etc.
You are never gonna get @Cataceous to budge on his stance. I just hope guys take his post with a grain of salt. All of us on are on trt for a reason. Trying to mimic young “healthy” male levels doesn’t seem to work for a majority of us “broken” men. I wasted years of my life trying to be as natural as I could on trt. Never feeling any better.

After I finally let go of that bullshit I been doing pretty damn good. Blaming the”high normal” test levels when we are already broken is just nonsense.

What you are saying is you feel better at higher TT levels? Can you explain more? What levels are you at etc?

Do you want a non-expert opinion? See a urologist. :)

DHT is not the only thing that can contribute to BPH. Before trying to adjust DHT, your doctor should test things like current DHT/Estradiol levels, and inflammatory markers, and whatever else can contribute to it.

As far as your original question, I would think testosterone products with high DHT conversion such as scrotal topicals should be avoided. But I haven't really found a list of which testosterone formulations increase DHT more than others... if anyone has, please post it!

I feel good with my levels about 800-900 and free t around 200. But I also feel way better on cream. And my dht levels are sky high lol.
I am very interested in your experience. Although we have in common the bad reactions to TRT and low SHBG, unlike you I have high cortisol, particularly at night, which was greatly aggravated by TRT and made the chronic insomnia I have had since I was 15 years old much worse.

How is your cortisol and estradiol with Transcrotal T?

Have you noticed any improvement in your body or in the ease of losing fat? In addition to anxiety, this was the worst part I had on TRT.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
