Trimix newbie...thought I'd share initial impression

For me it should be free if I get it done at my Veterans Adm Hospital. And there should be no maintenance required. Once that is implanted, there is no turning back; nothing else will work, no pills, no trimix, nothing. That will be the last resource.

15 units may or may not have been sufficient for you. The effect from trimix is increased with sexual interest and manual stimulation. In a sexual situation (instead of a doctor's office) 15 units might have been great. Or it might not be enough. Also 15 minutes may not have been enough time to wait. At doses that are just barely enough, it can take me longer than 15 minutes longer to get the maximum effect.

10 units is probably not enough if your results at 15 were marginal. Doctor is being extremely cautious. I also don't like the idea of a second injection. I've never done that. I would take the risk of starting at 15 units and see what effect you get.

For me, trimix has been blessing and I am so thankful that I have it. Trimix is fabulous. I started trimix when viagra was no longer working adequately for me. With trimix I get very hard very quickly. That feels great and gives confidence. It is reliable - I can count on it every single time - it never fails. I have total confidence in its reliability. It is long-lasting. I stay hard for quite an extended time, which is useful if we want to go slow or if my wife doesn't come to bed as soon as I had expected. The injection sounds scary, but it's really not bad. I look forward to it.

The bottom line for me is that after trying trimix 10 years ago, I have never attempted sex without it even once. It just couldn't be as good. I'm now 75 years old.

So I have a question see if anybody has experienced a similar issue I've had partial nerve-sparing prostatectomy about 3 years ago for about the first year and a half I had absolutely no activity naturally and was using trimix at 15 units (.015 ml )it worked excellent then as I started getting back some natural activity the trimix slowly began working less and less effectively even though I increase dosage currently it's not working very well at all and I am trying quad mix which has helped a little bit but still nowhere near where I was my doctor check my testosterone level and it was 661 I'm a 66 year old man she also checked my penis to see if there was scarring she did this manually and did not detect any scarring
I currently am on no medications of any type other than of course the trimix or quad mix at this point
anybody have any thoughts or have had a similar experience it's very frustrating to go from absolutely fantastic erections to what I've got now I'd like to get back to where I was

Hey thanks a lot for all the trimix experiences. It helps …. I had RP removal 2 years ago … doctor started me on 25 cialis to help blood flow and surgery repairs. … been taking regular and overall I have had full recovery except the penis hardness has not returned .. I am now using triple strength trimix and the last shot was 40 units … I still cannot get hard enough to achieve penetration … we do enjoy it but it’s frustrating …. Y’all know what I mean

That’s a great report. Will you share how your dosage and/or prescription strength has increased over the years? If it changed over the years did you first increase dosage and then potency of the Trimix? Thanks

30 units WILL send you to the hospital... AND MORE. just ask me... Ill never use Trimix again. Because I cant. I had to have an implant because of the damage Trimix caused me. Please be careful with that stuff. Doctors praise the use of this stuff but no one knows the (exact) dosage to use because everyone's body reacts differently. ( THERE IS NO PERFECT DOSE ).

Everyone is talking ml but no one has mentioned the prescribed combination. Personally I'm using 40 mcg, 30 mg ,4 mg.
And using 15 units. Success! But I went through 2 other mixtures to find not only the right dosage, but the right mixture as well. What are the common mixtures most of you are using?

Well, trimix will be coming my way soon too. I'm 68; the viagra works but it's kind of a 70 percenter (to quote SamtheMan) and that's not enough to get the job done right - it worked out badly a while ago so I'm hesitant to try it again. I would start out with something really low, like 5 units, and just see how it works in private without having the added pressure of performing for the wife. But damn, it would be nice to surprise her (and myself!) with what it used to be . . .
Are most of you guys using a 1/2" or 3/8" 29G insulin needle?

Just starting out on Tri mix. Battling a few issues. Type 1 diabetic 49 years also taking triamterene hctz 37.5 25 and welbutrin. As well as like many the anxiety and frustration of limp d__k.
Recently had UR prescribe Tri mix. If I'm deciphering the mixture correctly it is as follows
papaverine 25 mg/ phentolamine mesylate .8 mg / prostaglandin E 1 8 mcg.
PA started me out with 10 units , I have taken 2 injections at home 15 units and second 20 units. With 20 units I was probably about 40% to 50% erect. I notice pretty good increase in girth. Was hoping for better results. Not...

I have posted about my experience withTriMix, so I thought I would follow up with this post about my switch to BiMix.

The TriMix gives me extremely hard and slightly painful erections. And even at very small doses...1-2 units...I will be hard for 2+ hours.

So I recently tried BiMix for the first time.

I injected 3 units. It took a good 10 minutes to start to get hard. And 20 minutes to be fully erect.

This is much longer than Trimix. The TriMix only takes about 5 minutes for me to be fully hard.

But, there was no pain with the BiMix. Which I am happy about.

And...the BiMix...

I've read several posts from people claiming that this shouldn't be possible, but it sure does seem like it is.

First time I ever injected TriMix I used 5 units with a U100 syringe. I got an erection that was ridiculous... in a good way. I could probably hammer nails into concrete with it. 4 hours later is hadn't budged at all. 5 hours... no difference and I was starting to get scared. At some point close to the 6 hour mark it was finally going away.

It was probably 2 weeks before I used it again and this time I used 2.5 units. Same amazing erection but this time it lasted maybe 2 hours...

So I've tried Trimix 5 times with varied results. This is the standard 30-10-1 mix from Empower.

Attempt 1: 5 units (.05ml) decent erection lasting around a half hour.

Attempt 2: 8 units (.08ml) resulting in an ER trip and an erection around 8 hours. 120mg Sudafed did nothing. Urologist in ER wasnt very concerned as I wasn't in pain and erection wasn't cold. He gave me a few shots in my penis and that finally laid it down.

Attempt 3: 5 units (.05ml) and no results

Attempt 4: 6 units (.06ml) and a 7 hour erection

Attempt 5: 3.5 (.035ml) units and no results

I'm Brand New to this forum and basically just want to sing praises for TriMix. Been struggling with ED for at least 15 years and I'm 56 yo. I have a very understanding and sexually interested wife, so she would stimulate me orally...the only thing that seemed to work. I concur, miracle drug, luv it! It works perfectly when its not expired and that's an issue I've had here in Kenya (I'm a British ex-pat). Sometimes the quality of services and knowledge is lacking. I was first told it would last 4-6 months from thawing. Now I'm told it lasts 4-6 months if stored frozen but will only last for 30 days once thawed. Mine actually worked for about 6 or more weeks from date of thawing. What experiences have any of you had regarding effective life span once thawed?
